Tropical Storm Debby Down Time

We have a few days of downtime here in Tallahassee because of Tropical Storm Debby that is not only effecting us but the entire state of Florida and as it moves north, it will bring rainy to more states. This is a perfect time to work on SEO, web site content and marketing material. I think I tied up more lose ends today then in the last month...lol As long as the power stays on, I'll be doing the same Monday.

A lot of the northern guys have plenty of time to tighten up loose ends in the winter but rainy days in the spring, summer and fall can offer the perfect opportunity for cold calling and equipment maintenance! biggrin

Marcus, with all these recent Google updates, it's been a full time job in itself! I have been working on a keyword that I lost ranking on and now a carpet cleaner is ranked number one for it because he has "cleaner" and "contractor" in his title. Go figure! Hopefully that gets worked out in the next Google update..wink

You are right.  Just because business is slowed due to weather, does not mean it is time to take a break.  It means that you are being given time to work "on" the business instead of in it.  SEO is one of those things not to be taken lightly, it never stops.  Maximize it here too by having multiple back links to your website in your signature and "roof cleaning" oriented keywords in your posts.

Downtime Ray?????? I'm going out this morning to try and try to wash a roof!

NO, seriously we are! I looked and there will be a band through here by 10 AM, and I'm sure the weather will get only worse late this afternoon and then the winds will kick up on Tuesday. Its going to be a sloppy, nasty job, but we're going to take a stab at it anyway!!!

Hence one problem with staying relatively booked...three days of "downtime" totally screws the schedule up!!!!!!!

Here's my thought....we'll get on the roof and shoot down and use a very hot mix. The good news...think I'll get some help with the rinsing!

In weather like this, I usually end up wasting too much love. Plus the wind gusts just make it a little too dangerous for me. I took today off, but i'll be up there tomorrow though unless it gets worse.

common sense got the better of me and I postponed for a few hours. My biggest problem is that we are fully booked this week with 2-3 jobs per day and 3 full nights booked too!

Kinda throws a monkey wrench into my whole schedule.

Good thing you opted for the luxury lifestyle of self employment. Imagine how much you would work if you had a real job!

Ha Ha

Glad to hear you are tearing it up in Florida. Just keep the storm down there. We got tortured in PA with Florida like heat last week and that was not fun. Share you knowledge but not all your weather with us northeners...
