LOL, when I run Copyscape, I am flattered so many copy me. If someone is not local, who really cares ?

Duplicate Content hurts THEM, not you. In fact, there is some opinions about SEO that say it is GOOD to be copied 

I frequent several SEO Blogs and Forums, and have several SEO Guru's I talk to. 

They tell me that Google is so sophistacated that it can tell where the original content came from, and eventually gives "brownie points" to that site who's content is being constantly copied!

Besides, you want to re do your web site content anyway, from time to  time.

I say not to worry about it, because there is very very little you can actually do.

But here is what you CAN do John 

I had a gone out of business local roof cleaning company almost exactly copy my text, and steal my pics.

Everytime I was up against him, I simply got my customers email, and SHOWED him how my competitor copied me.

This tore him such a new azz, he went out of business.

It made me look like the expert I try to be, and made him look like what he was, a fast buck rip off hack.

Excuse me John, but your threatening letter is very in-appropiate to this forum, if , as you said there is a very small  number of people in violation. Your best interest would be served by sending a PM to the people who you are talking about and NOT threaten the entire forum for something they have no part in.

Sorry Gary no threats intended, if no one has copied anyone elses stuff they shouldn't feel threatened.  If they have it's a warning, and a good reference for anyone who thinks they can take shortcuts. 

If you want to take this down go ahead.  I'm sure some of the higher ranked guys have their stuff copied and they should check copyscape or some other software.

There's at least one guy with a RCIA banner on his site who isn't on your certified list who has copied stuff.  This can only protect the RCIA brand. 

The following is for a very small population that frequent here, I'm beginning formal letters to hosting companies tomorrow. If no response, formal DMCA Infringement letters to the search engines.



Good luck with that John. You will have a much better chance of getting a response from Batman.

Seriously though, Gary brought up a great point. Why not get in touch with the owner of the site you saw your content and/or photo's on? 99% of the members here have contact information either on their website or right here in their signatures. It will save you many hours of time and frustration.
