Any of you guys ever want to take some time in the winter and travel to Michigan for some steelhead fishing, let me know. It's been a great winter for it. I have caught 80 steelhead this winter. Nothing like fighting a fish with an attitude while your fingers freeze !!!
Don't forget about ice fishing we camped out for 2 days in the bush on Big Gull Lake North East of Kaladar Ontario last weekend good times the fishing was a little slow but I nailed this 5 lb walleye at 8:00pm Sat.
Dave - I'm curious too; lake or river? Either way that's awesome! I've always wanted to catch steelies out of a river on light tackle. I'm just too far south for that. I tend to trout fish in the mountains instead. The fish are just a LITTLE smaller LOL.
Nino - damn! You ate well after catching that monster eh?! Nice walleye! And I really dig that hat too. Serious!!
I used to think that crappie were the best 'eating' fresh water fish until I caught and ate walleye. Nothing better in fresh water!!

Thanks Ted it was some good tasting fish I still have some more left I'm looking forward to catching some steelies in the spring there running now in the mouth of the river's early run this year do to the weather its been one of the warmest winter's I ever seen in Southern Ontario this year!
We are fishing rivers. Most of the time it's with light tackle, 4 -6 pound leaders. When you hook into a 8 -12 pd. chrome bullet, you start to wonder if you are using the right stuff...
