I'm not promoting anyone but call around and get ten quotes then call Joe Walters. If not just to get a quote but also to get some great info on our industry. He is a wealth of information.

We just had a thread about this an hour ago, but it's on the Premium side. Their is a whole lot of info there and it would be great to have you. Best 100 bucks you ever spent I promise. Where are you from?
Nice, I hope you join this great Institute. There are tons of great guys and the information you get will save you thousands when you start up and maintain your company.
Hey Zack ... your over reacting my friend. In no way did I "UNDERMINE" you. Joe Walters is a dear friend to many here and if someone asks for an insurance recommendation, by god I'm going to give it to them ... FOR FREE.
If a guest comes here looking for an insurance quote, get's told to join to get information on a great agent, then does not join....you took money out of Joe's pocket. That's a fact!
Sometimes it not "all about the money" OR "paying membership fee's and I think it a horrible thing when there are restrictions on giving a great guy a shout out ... FOR FREE.
I'll tell you what ... I have been a great contributor to this forum and never got caught up in any of the bullshit drama that happened here. This "lack of information act" that is going on now is rediculous and if you wish to ban me ... GO FOR IT!!!!

Looks like the "Guests" are undermining the RCIA efforts to limit "free business knowledge" to paid members. Perhaps a warning is in order and after 3 violations a suspension of "Guest" privileges?

There are some other sites that tell you how to clean a roof.....Most people find this one first. The info is out there is all I'm sayin....
Anybody can Spray a roof, It's getting the business to actually clean the roof that's the hard part......
Chuck, You can't see whats on the premium side till you pay, So you think if I would have known all the bickering for the first 11 months of my membership on the premium side I would have payed the 100.00??? It's just now getting cleaned up but who knows I can't tell....I'm just a guest.....lol
I see plenty of Landscaping business's, Carpet Cleaning, Etc still going strong with PLENTY of competition and i'm sure all peoples prices aren't the same, Most lowballers don't last, since most of the time there just working for beer money.
Not trying to start anything just pointing stuff out.....
I think much of what you call "bickering" is what you and I are doing now. Or at least it starts that way. "Plenty of competition" is not a problem. A lot of new competition is. I have had new guys and low-ballers [who are usually new, seeing as how low-ballers never succeed in business for long] go into local housing developments and do 4 or 5 roofs for $150.00 and then the old folks who live there talk about it at bingo and golfing and next thing you know, in their minds, that's about what it should cost to have a roof cleaned. I am not in a big city like you. I survive off of a bunch of small towns in the area. My main work location is Englewood,Fl Population under 20,000 I actually have no real reason to fear competition. I have been in business here since 1989 so I have 23 years worth of customer base and most of my work comes from them. In fact, this year I stopped all yellow pages advertising-I just don't need it. But I do need to be able to charge what a roof cleaning is really worth, not $150 Anyway, it was my understanding, and maybe I'm wrong? That Chris T had set up the "Premium" section, for the very purpose of NOT giving everything away on the open side and I happen to strongly agree with his idea! We have said what we feel and both have a right to our opinion. Chris has a right to decide if he wants free info given out or if he prefers to have that remain in the "Premium" side and "I THINK ??" it's clear which that is, at this time. Sorry for ruffling your feathers. I tend to do that, by not beating around the bush in my posts, I say just what I feel. Maybe that's not so good, but it's me!

Ok, Thanks to all of you that offered me some assistance. I really appreciate the help. It is the first time that I posted anything in this forum. I guess I ruffled a few feathers out there in FL & PA. So, Suspend my "Guest Privivleges" if need be, and I will think long and hard before I Pay sign up. In the meantime, I will work this out on my own.

No offense at all intended my friend. But it appears you have already thought long and hard since 12/10 ? "Status Active Member Since Dec 15, 2010" Or am I missing something? I certainly do not intend to pinpoint you for anything at all. I do however, feel strongly, "IN GENERAL" that giving free information out is a mistake that RCIA has made for way too long. Half the "Guests" show up, make one or 2 posts, get what they need to compete with one of us and disappear, until one of us who have worked for years to learn every little trick, can supply them with their next tidbit needed to compete on more even grounds with us - knowledge-wise. Of course, 99% of these new guys we start up, will cut prices to get started. In SW Florida, competition is already insane, I am not in favor of adding to it! Now, maybe someone who disagrees, { And I don't pretend to have all the answers, so I'm sure there are other opinions? } can tell me how it actually benefits us, to get new guys started up easily and for free??? Thanks for listening and please don't take my thoughts personal or insulting. That's not the way they are meant. Chuck PS: Here's a picture of my 2nd roof yesterday. A nice easy shingled roof for a change! TILE, TILE TILE and more TILE!!!!
It's funny cause It seems like nobody remembers when they first found this place and were asking the same Q's. Your post don't go away and I've looked at Most everybodys that always says join the premium side and it's funny cause they asked the same questions almost word for word.......
You got the info from Chris T for FREE now you wanna be greedy with it everytime somebody ask a question that most of you already asked when you first started, I just think it's funny. If you don't think that your confident enough in your business for competion then maybe you should rethink something....
I WELCOME competion, but I guess that's just me. No offense Chuck but I helped him cause Joe is a VERY good man and I think the same way as RAY, My Daddy always taught me to help somebody of you can.
If you want to send me a "violation" that's fine, I just thought I always heard Chris T Talk about why he started this forum....for Roof cleaners to help fellow roof cleaners.
Tom I didn't renew cause I just had My baby boy last Tuesday, And I was alittle dissapointed to pay 100.00 to see abunch of grown men fight all the time......so for now I will just be a "guest".
