Adjust your pricing , fuel is going up , yours and your suppliers , that cost will be passed on down the line .Doing it now before things spike will soften the blow .

All my chit going up. This year. Got to be fair to me too.

Found out the the Big roof cleaners, round here, charging 2 or 3 times what I'm charging.

Friends building their companys, I'm sitting here waiting on spring, Happy for them.

The perceived value is way higher if you can sell it, I been. I'm the expensive gutter cleaning company, and I get word of mouth.

Don't think heaven has a a roof but that doen't matter for me. I'm taking my rig straight to hell with me and making a little deal with the devil furious . I'll soft wash his roof and power wash his playgound in exchange for a room with AC(Not Lockhart) a keorator and a girl tbt a a later time cause I'm not sure at this timeLet's get this party started lol

Do you kno why they hate us?

1958: we overthrow their elected leader to impose our king
1970's: overthrew our installed king for their own government
1980-1988: we gave money to Iraq to FIGHT iran
90's: we decided we didnt like Iraq anymore and bombed them
2002: we made up a reason to bomb iraq again (they had ZERO to do with 9/11)

FYI , I have bid against you a few times , and have gotten the jobs partially due to my higher price . I am not big. I dont advertize , all word of mouth and a few yard signs. Dont leave money on the table , why work for 4 hours for 400 when you can get 750. Price a new roof ,they are close to 300 a square for a tear off and reroof . Maryland has one of the highest income levels in the country. Dont sell the steak , sell the sizzle . I do home improvements , If the customer needs a new roof , we sell them a roof , if they only need cleaning thats what they get , they need gutters we sell that too.

What is your ratio of re-roof to cleanings? From what I'm reading, your a pretty big roofing contractor that offers roof cleaning and gutter replacement. Do you have a website we can check out?

I only responded to this post because your post seems to be condescending towards gutterdog's (not cool and if it was the same towards a guest here, my response would be the same).

Again, please give a link to your website so we can a little more familiarized with some of your work.

true that. but he's such a threat to the status quo that the main stream media wont give him the time of day... since day one, they have been pushing romney to be the one..

its a sad day when americans cant realize they are being told what to do by both parties.... and neither are really any differant.. both will expand government, tax, and take our money...

I hope ron runs as 3rd party if he doesnt get the nomination or have enough delegates to push his son into the running..

it would be nice to tell the establishment that we want our real america back..

I would be condidered a general contractor , roofing is only a portion of what we do. We do outdoor maintenance and improvements , from snow removal to construction . I work with about 20 other contractors I work closely with so basically we dont turn down any work.

My ratio of reroofs I dont keep track , its pretty simple though when I give an estimate and the roof is in bad shape I give the customer a second option , why clean a roof that needs replacement , you are wasting money . If the roof is in good shape but just needs cleaning I price the job to clean it .When a customer hears they dont need to spend 10 grand only 900.00 I save them money .But I notice they need new windows , I give them a price and get the window job .

I am not trying to be condesending ,just offering a bit of advice , If someone is 1/3 to 1/2 of what the competition is charging , they are leaving money on the table . There is a term that is often misused and is offense "lowballer" I dont like the the term it only applies to someone who knows the other bids prior to submitting their bid and then intentionally submits a price half of that bid to get the job. But there are guys out there that underprice themselves due to lack of knowledge , or experience.

As of yet I havent felt the need for a website , I have kept a backlog of 5 to 6 weeks of work , minimum for the last 20 years . The majority of my work is done by subcontractors . We started cleaning roofs out of necessity 10 years ago , there was no one doing it . We put on an addition and the shingles didnt match the existing roof , tried some bleach , it looked great. My first machine was an old paint pressure pot , aircompressor , old air hose and a bug sprayer wand , I actually used it for 3 years until I looked at a sealcoater we have and it dawned on me to build something similar for roofs . The aluminum air diaphram pumps didnt last long with sh , didnt even realize they made them out of poly untill a friend of mine bought a carwash in 2005 and we built him another bay and saw them in the control room.

Gutterdog mentioned the "big roof cleaners " and he was less than them , well I havent run into any big cleaners in this area , I simply mentioned I have bid the same jobs as him on a couple of occasions and gotten the job at a higher price , I always ask the customers about other bids AFTER they HIRE us. I dont consider myself big in roof cleaning , it is simply an ad on to the existing contracting business . There was a need and there was no one to fill that need .
