I need roughly 10 - one or two gallon heavy duty plastic containers for the trucks to haul ammonyx, gutter cleaner, and house wash detergents. Not buckets. Anyone have any good ideas for chem transport. Or where i can find? Ed

Bleach bottles are ok for a minute. They fail quick and I lose a good amount of expensive chems from punctured bottles or broken caps. I have a few heavy duty containers I picked up here and there. Wish I knew where I pick up a dozen.

5 gallon pails will hold up but they're big. For powders you could use 1 gallon paint cans or empty whey protein containers.

Yup 5 gal is big. Nothing urked me more than coming to the shop and finding the containers strewn around the trucks, laying on their side in a puddle of ammonyx or whatever.

I guess everything cant be perfect. Im so pumped up for this season. Its gonna be a big year, especially if the economy picks up.

I buy it in 55 gal drums, transfer it to 5 gal containers, and then to 1 gallon old anti freeze containers.  I get the 5 gal containers from US Plastics. www.usplastic.com  (800) 537-9724  I have been buying from them for years.

Look  for F-Style Industrial Weight Jugs as they are similar to anti freeze jugs.

p/n 66154   1-gal   $1.46    or   p/n 66300   2.5-gal  $6.05

6 inch diameter PVC, cut to the length you need. Cap on one end and a threaded plug on the other. That will work for what you need. You could even use shorter 8 inch PVC and make a tray of four or five and set your 6 inch PVC containers in them. nice and organised.

Glue the cap on, use the threaded plug as your twist off/on cap.

They would be virtually indestructible, and would last forever.

For gutter cleaner I use those 5 gallon fuel jugs, they are usually either blue or yellow,..they also have two handles,..one up the back and one on top and they also have the breather for no "glug" filling.

For the other few soaps like Dawn, I like the Zip wax one gallon containers. I just paint them whatever color I want.

For powders like hydroxide, bicarbonate, oxalic etc... I use nice heavy 5 gallon buckets I get from Uline. I buy the simple snap on lids at Wal-Mart.

I always save empty window washer fluid containers. I'm always going through them this time of the year and they seem to hold up great. The plastic is a little heavier than most disposable product containers for some reason.
