This is a tank on craigslist for $125, it is a 160gallon tank. The shape may not be the best, but I am thinking about it. It will be better than using 55 gallon drums. I would build a box that would have to be at least as tall as the 2/3 mark on the tank.
What do you guys think of this? I still need to get the dimensions of it.
I just purchased 2-275 gallon totes for $120 delivered and sight unseen from craigslist. That was a mistake. Turned out to be junk and the seller will not take them back. Lessons leaned. Will be going to look at 2 today that will cost me $75 ea. LOOK BEFORE YOU BUY.
that will be very top heavy I would be worried about the whole trailer turning over in a turn plus haz mat says one hundred nineteen gallons or a thousand pounds
The tank on my trailer was bought from a local feed supplier. I requested not to put a bottom bulkhead in it,you have to tell them they need to order that because IT WILL LEAK! The tank has a place for 2 metal straps that i screwed down to trailer deck so it is not going anywhere, they do not come with tank i had to order seperate. I have 2 125 gl tanks and a 55 gl drum that i keep my sh in the 1 tank is for mixing the other is for rinsing. My risning tank has a bottom bulkhead and is leaking water just after a year, so i know they will leak if i would had sh in it.
wow eric i have a 100 gallon tank from tractor supply and put my own bulk head in it at the bottom, its been two yrs and no leaks.(water only) Zach-I have a second 100 gallon tank( chemical mix) with a bulk head on top(put on myself-easy to do) from tractor supply paid 321 (includes tax). I would check there before buy that 160 tank,i would not use that tank it looks very awkward.
As far as the square totes for chemicals i would stay away. They have a bulkhead at the bottom and it will leak due to the chemicals. Spend the money now so you dont have any major problems later.
