Upgrading logo- proof of concept phase. Suggestions?

I'm having my logo 'upgraded' prior to some other things kicking off in the near future.  Neither of these are done, but were selected from about 10 proof of concept designs by my designer.  

The flag version ( three red bars) is fairly similar to my current (albeit BASIC) logo.  This keeps all of our embroidered stuff current, or close enough.

The eagle version I REALLY like, save for the remote simiarltiy to the USPS logo.  It's nothing like our current logo, but.... who cares  

Thoughts, comments or suggestions?  I need to make a final selection so the final design effort can continue.
