Just curious, I just read a post from a member here who said they cleaned a 1000 roofs this year with two trucks. I know there is alot of BS on here. People trying to make their business seem bigger and better than everyone elses. A few guys on here that were bragging last year about all their business and new shops and trucks are now gone. If you feel like sharing how many roofs are your in line to do this year? We only work March to december and our year is actually down from last year. Last year we did a little over 200. This year we are at 160. I am happy with this and when the economy gets better I am sure we will do more. This is one truck. Sorry but the 1000 roofs sounds like BS to me. In a good economy I could see that easily. Just not now. Thanks

AC cleaned 50.000 I think, just think its going to take that other dude that cleans a thousand per year 50 years to catch up with AC
Good point clyde, Ac says he did that many and he has posted pics on here of 40 50 service trucks and sales vehicles. This guy says he has two vehicles. I hope he is doing that many. I just know that I put alot of effort in my business and sometimes you don't think your growing as fast as others.
back a couple of years ago this forum use to be a blast, You always saw a new guy post pics of his new set up, what a joke, for 500.00 dollars they were in business,
Not nearly enough, tore off many but cleaning was minimal. Education is a big thing, people look at it as no biggie, they just don't understand it is actually causing the roof to fail earlier than need be. Let alone getting to improving the look of their home... Kim R
well i have to say that after thinking about it i have to agree with you on this. I regret hiring AC for the excursion. I got alot of good ideas back from the 90's but today things are so different. I definetly increased my sales by using him but not like he said they were going to be. He promised alot but only delivered on less than half. Besides all the little"secrets he gave us" he has already given about 98% of them away on his soft wash forum. I should have just waited. Live and learn. I have definetly learned this year that you have to make some mistakes(not alot) to learn what works and what dosen't in this crazy business.
We did just around 214 roofs this year and i believe we will hit the 300-350 mark next year.
I have to totally agree with you Gary. Ac was never here for us. The only time he offered anything was when he was trying to sell something. 50,000 is Bull and we all know it. If it was true why would you quit. Those who can, do. Those who can't do, Teach.

Yes, things are very different today!
Mallard Systems was in Orlando Florida, a Boom Town like no other. It was THE fastest growing town in America for nearly 10 years!
AC did capitalize on it, but here is what I was told. Disney, Sea World, and the other huge attractions agreed to hire local people, in return for taking up so much of Orlando's area. I was told by some ex Mallard Employees who tried to get hired here, that many of Mallard Systems trucks were more of less on "permanent assignment" at Disney, and the other attractions.
Not to take anything away from AC, but he was in the right place, at the right time.
That Business Model came and went IMHO, brought to its knees by smaller Mom and Pop Roof Cleaners, with less overhead.
This year so far we have been averaging 7- 9 jobs per week which brings us to around 470 jobs or so. Not all of these involved Roof Cleaning. I would have to say, without actually checking, that we cleaned somewhere around 350-375 roofs and we just about always end up with the driveways, houses and pool areas if they have one. The best part of all this is that we are able to get all of these jobs done and still have a day or two off during the week. I need it... I'm not 20 anymore and this business can be tough on the body. LOL...

Way to go Mike! You'll be in an excellent position when the economy improves!
