We do not use Hose Reels any more Ted, but Lori has the Black plastic swivels we told her about with the fins that take about 5 seconds to rebuild.

Billy Jensen from H20 is making a hose reel from hell with heavy wall 3/4 stainless manifold that makes the Titan look like an Toy.

Thanks guys.  I remembered something about plastic swivels, but I'm really partial to PressureTek.   I'm only using the hose reel for my 200' of ag hose Chris. (It's a beast to handle otherwise)  My 3/4" hose is on reels, but only for storage - no swivel in use. 

Good idea about the replacement AND the rebuild Dave.  I didn't want to drop the $50+ on a replacement swivel if the rebuild was fast and easy.  (I took a swivel for a surface cleaner apart once, major PITA.)  

I'll order both in the morning. I might as well order a couple more pumps too while I'm at it.  

@Dave - I thought my 5gpm pump croaked today.  (It did, but I fixed it this evening).  So I had to switch over to the big system.  I would have rather just slammed a new 5gpm pump in it's place.  Plus we'll be working for a while longer, and perhaps thru the winter (when the weather cooperates.)  I am still thinking of heading south if things get really quiet here.. I want more replacement pumps anyway, so I might as well get them now.  Speaking of which, one of my batteries dropped a cell, so I might as well take care of that too.....(Anyone need a perfectly good 10 volt marine battery?  LOL)

I recently went 1/2" quik connect. I designed so you dont have to unwind all the way. Just mke sure its rinsed properly and spray with silicone lube frequently. I no longer have to fear the inevitable.

Ted I saw someone mention using quick connects in place of a swivel. Im guessing It would have to be unhooked to reel or unwind the hose???

I might try that out for a few days. One of my titans has a geyser gushing from it and I have neglected to order a replacement swivel.

 That was me.  I have an electric titan reel and wind it up without disconnecting the QD.  However the hose inlet hose is short but you could ti it off so it does not wrap around.
