Dont know if I spelled that right ,but anyhow has anybody ever attempted to fix lichen damage. Some kind of epoxy maybe and some stones scraped of a new shingle??  Most likely I think a spot of karnak would work but I hate working with that stuff. Just looking at the can I somehow get it on me. I wouldn't really want to do this work, but a client asked me if there was anything I can do.

i had a couple spots on my garage that were noticable from driveway. I took henry's roof cement ( that stuff home depot sells in caulk tube) dabbed and smeared it on the spots, then took granules from the gutter on my house, sprinkled it on, and then lightly dabbed it in with my finger a bit. Its still on there, been about 3 months.

William is right:
If the house has gutters, you can scavenge a few granules from there, then put a small amount of plastic roof cement over the bare spot and sprinkle the granules on top. If the house doesn't have gutters or there isn't any loose granules in the gutter you can away purchase a bundle of shingles of the same color and scrape the granules off, go to a roofing supply house and ask for a sample board of a shingle that is of similar color and scrape the granules off, or purchase a bag of granules from the roofing supply house (they usually come in 50# bags so you will have 10 lifetime supplies).
