I will not mention any names but I will say what I did to these guys. I was on a rampage one day, there was a new cleaning company in town in my neighborhood to say the least. I was driving through collecting the rock and baggy fliers they threw out and what do ya know. I found the culprits cleaning a roof, the flier said 150.00 any size roof up to 4000 sqft.
I being me got pizzed when I first found the flier in my driveway and in all of my neighbors so I got into my truck and had picked up as many fliers as I could to try and salvage the prices I set which was 4 times what these dirtbags were charging.
Well I was pretty mad and noticed the homeowner was talking to what looked like the guy in charge in the front yard. I felt the heat coming on and almost punked out on ratting out this guys shady work but I knew I had to do what was right. So I approched the homeowner and asked if he had a second to talk, and he was really nice almost too nice and nieve. I told him to ask these guys for their insurance papers and license and he asked why with a concerned look on his face. I told him that they are destroying your roof and the insurance company needs to replace what they have cleaned. He ran over waving his hands telling them to stop and guess what. NO PROOF OF INSURANCE OR LICENSE!!! come to find out these guys were from Georgia and were probably meth heads looking for some quick cash.
The homeowner asked them to leave several times and he was not paying them a dime and will call SCSO if they do not leave. They left with a few words exchanged with me and I just kept my cool to stay professional. I told the homeowner who I was and what I do and I will clean his roof correctly for 500.00 and told him it would last 10 times longer than pressure washing. Never seen those guys again but I will say I was a little on guard while cleaning this roof and driving around town since they know my truck.
Moral of the story: If you ever see anyone pressure cleaning any roof... grow some cohonays and knock on the door and sell these guys out so that they go out of business and not get paid for shady work that you could be capitalizing on. I felt good after the job was done and the homeowner was very happy with the results. It was not his fault, he was not educated on the difference between Safe Roof Cleaning and Damaging Pressure Washing on roofs and was lured by the super low price that they offered. Like I always tell cheap customers, you get what you pay for.
Below is the aftermath of Cleetus and Poots roof cleaning job. Luckily this is as far as they got.

Nice . You must have brass balls going to the HO while the other guys are on the roof. Is there no licensing laws for contractors in your state?? In Jersey they could get a $10K fine for not having a home improvement contractor license.
That is why they came to Florida because the laws are so liberal here on everything that does matter but we have strict laws on stuff that makes no sense at all. We spend more money on traffic light cameras and cracking down on veterans of war from having a place to get medical help when the state needs to put high price fines on unlicensed contractors and give more to those vets who deserve financial help.

ORLANDO / CENTRAL FLORIDA "SAFE NO PRESSURE ROOF CLEANING" AND PRESSURE WASHING Since 1998.
I have given a price many times that was triple the amount of a guy who was going to power wash it. I " educated" the H/O but it didn't matter, I guess for some folks they will " roll the dice " when they take the lower price.
