I've experimented with muriatic acid with good results, but I think I'd try that kit in Ted's link. It looks like it comes with everything including the sealer.

I have cleaned copper above bay windows. I used a weak acid mix. I did not want to use a stronger acid like the one Ted has shown. The house I did, he did not want a strong acid used. He was having his cedar siding stained. It was a lot of elbow grease, but they came out very nice. The link is to the pics.
