I was cleaning a roof in Lake Forest and between the pool enclosure and roof was a peice of roof that stuck out and while I was spraying I heard a loud aluminum noise so as I looked up there was a Racoon looking at me and I look at him we were inches from each other and for some reason I kinda jumped and sprayed him/her right in the face. Then little coons started coming out of the soffitts too but I just let them go.
I have seen cats, racoons and other animals on roofs before but never gave one a shot of funky juice in the eyeballs. I feel BAD man the look on its face when it looked at me then the look and the dance it did when I shot it with chemi and then jumped off the roof, we looked for it so we can try an attempt to rinse its face off but it was gone.

Was on steep tile roof, slippery, rabid racoon came out of chimney hissing at me, sprayed it, she fell off roof, blinded, ran between houses blind in pain, getting houses all bloody.
Called animal control, they came and noosed it, told me I did right thing, but she had babies in chimney. I felt really bad, we rinse off frogs always
I can't get it off my mind, the way it squirmed like it was hit by a car and then jumped off a 2 story tile roof onto the ground. I like animals so maybe thats why. Heck I will be over it by tomorrow. 2-3 bottles of Stella Artois ( Rather have Perroni ) and a Cohiba and I should be good.

Same here if the frog made the leap out the pipe to the ground and where my ground guy can find it I have a 5 gal paint bucket of water ready on every roof cleaning just in case, add a little vinegar to neutalize the chemical sometimes they make it sometime they don't I had over 4 dozen in a bucket before the dead would get tossed and the survivors would be put in bushes and trees when done.
BTW this racoon gave me puppy dog eyes and no hissing that is why I feel bad.

I would have done the same thing. There is no way to tell if it would have came at you and bit you or you end up falling from a ladder or roof. I wouldn't hesitate. Your safety is number one when your up there and I think this constitutes for a spraying.

I am like my friend from Tropical, I love animals. It still bothers me. She got hit with a really nasty tile roof cleaning solution that had plenty of added Sodium Hydroxide and TSP.
I can still remember her death scream as she was noosed by animal control
Though she had rabies, she was just protecting her babies in the chimney from the tile roof cleaning chemical overspray, as any good mother would do.
For Frogs that have swum in the gutters for too long filled with chemicals, we end it for them. Amphibians breathe through their skin, and it is like us shooting up battery acid to be in the chemical. I will not allow an animal to suffer.
One loud mouth idiot thought it was cool on a fishing pier to intentionally hook a Pelican.
He and his punk azz friends thought it was funny to watch the bird struggle, and writhe in pain, so my friends and I put him and his friends in pain

I hate when people do stupid stuff like that, when I was a kid there was a fat kid named Robbie Lewis who always smelled like peeoss who lived near where I lived for a few years in TN and since he had a 4 wheeler and bb guns I figured he was cool to hang out with until one day a stray cat had a litter of kittens and they were about a month old and he would toss them in motor oil and watch them struggle to get out, I went and got my dad who rescued them and took them to our property and cleaned them off and fed them a kept 2 of them and adopted out the other 3. The momma cat took off once the kittens were gone.
Chris, isn't there always some idiot at fishing piers? I go to Ft. Pierce Inlet, Sabastian Inlet and Port Canaveral mostly in a boat but sometimes from the pier and there is always that one guy who like to hook sea turtles, birds or anything that will pull on his line since he can't catch a fish.

Let me say this. I am not a cruel person and would not intentionally hurt any type of animal, but I would get nervous seeing this on a roof and probably have done the same thing.
