What is the humidity where you are at?
Concrete can be holding water. I've seen SH make some concrete dry slower.

yes surface cleaner. normal procedure when it comes to pressure washing a driveway.

i have my friend that owns a pool and driveway business here in going to look at it in a couple hrs. but i think it is just holding moisture. i'll let everyone know the outcome.

i am stumped though all the driveways i've cleaned over the years this never happened once before.

Any news on this one?

I've stripped the cream off of newer concrete before (luckily it was my own!) by using too much pressure w/ my surface cleaner. Are you sure you didn't do this in the spots that are discolored? Any idea when this concrete driveway was poured?

The fix was to use my wand to blend in the rest of the concrete (PITA), and then I applied a sealer with a bit of tint to it to hide the imperfection in the concrete.

Heck it doesn't look that bad to me...

I didn't see it before but I'd be tempted to tell them that's what they get for letting it get so dirty.

That is what it looked liked when they poured the concrete due to humidity. Then it became dirty and blended which probably wasn't that bad. Then you cleaned it and back came the orignal spots. I seen a brand new concrete driveway poured and looked just like that in a brand new development but everybody else were fine.Got before pictures and how long has homeowner been living there, was he there when concrete was put in. Just my two cents and dont dwell on it, you did your job, good job.

Here is the problem and solution I believe and it has nothing to do with you cleaning it. Just an FYI:

http://www.cement.org/tech/pdfs/PintoPL961.pdf

Pinto concrete refers to large, irregular-
shaped, dark-colored blotches on
the surface of concrete flatwork.
Sometimes called mottling, it most
commonly occurs in residential driveways,
patios, sidewalks, and basement
floors.

You are Welcome Ray, I would suggest a few of these on hand to give any future HO that have this situation with the concrete.
Have a great week!
