I would start by becoming a premium member, instead of just asking and taking show an intrest in RCIA. Then become certified, I am sure both these things will help.

I am in Iowa and business is good. May need to work on your message or presentation, education to the homeowners. I don't respond to guest on here in most cases but do so more to advise to join the forum and gain the support.

I have used post cards, flyer and web has done good for me. May I ask how many times have you hit the same house up with more then one sales media. For example I start out with letter then 3 post card then last is flyer this trying to drive them to look at my website or to call me.

Same here in Michigan, people don't know and don't care about the stains on their roof. I came up with a tri-fold pamphlet to send or hand to homeowners that educates them a bit. Seems to be working.

Hang in there Mr. Snyder. I could imagine how a down economy may effect a middle American demographic. Im blessed to be within driving range of so many millions of dirty roofs in a wealthy demographic. Time takes time. Maybe go dress up in a Barney suit and stand in the highway with some flyers.
And welcome to you Mr. Stropf. May I note that your avatar pic, if it were to pan down lower, makes me feel that you may be holding an assualt rifle in each hand. But thats just my imagination. There are many free online logo makers. That would be a great start to a new business venture.

What a awesome fall like day got my first roof cleaning job scheduled 4 next week it is a ranch home gona be an easy one to knock out.its not in bad shape.i will be joining soon.

Congratulations Rob! Keep pushing and do not give up. Yes in Indiana majority of people do not know about roof cleaning and when they do not know guess what it will not cross their mind. You have to let them know that they have a headache of a problem and you have the Asprin to take care of it! My sales on roof cleaning are not just letting them know hey we can clean your dirty roof. Let them know it is a big problem and everyone else is having this done as well because they realize it's smart to maintain their roof. Never give up!!!!!!!!!!

It takes time to build your business & reputation, this won't happen over night. Realistically you're looking at 3-5 years to be where you want to be, but you're on the right path. If you're not washing you better be Marketing & Selling, anytime all the time. To make your business a success you're gonna have to Live, Eat and Breath your business 24/7 365 (OK slight Exaggeration but not by much).

I agree too.

It takes time to get started, but starting out right-by paying the small fees to join the Premium Side here and becoming a "Certified" roof cleaner, is certainly a start in the right direction!
