The last few roofs I did before I went on vacation my All Flo kept freezing up?

I shot the WD everywhere you can think of but after I would cut back the pressure I would start having issues and have to have my ground guy stand right next to it & unplug the air line from the pump. Anywhere from 1-2 times a roof to 50 times on the last 1.Pissed me off!!

It had to be unplugged from the pump,not the compressor in order to get it goin again.

So I went by PWP before I left & picked up new guts(easy fix) for like $30 I think?

The day I got back I cleaned out all my tanks and equipment completely and replaced the guts in about 10 minutes.Tested it for about 20 minutes and everything seems fine. Well I certainly hope that does the trick because while I was gone my estimator,John sold 3 roof cleanings for me to do this week!

I'm stoked again!!!

Is it getting moisture in the pumps spool? This will cause the pump to "Hang up" when you dead head it or stop the flow, I noticed mine doing it as well after a little moisture inthe air line. I use an oiler now on it and am constantly draining the air tanks of any water. these hot muggy florida days will lead to lots of moisture build up in a compressor.

We had just started this 5400 sq ft Tile Roof yesterday morning and all I was getting was spurts of air. After a lot of trial and error I called Rex. Seems I may have a ruptured diaphram.




Gotta go see him Tuesday morning to get it fixed. I don't really blame the pump. I have had it almost 2yrs and have beaten it to death and never had a problem till now. Should be a quick fix and we will be back to cleaning roofs.

Join the club, I had a ruptured diaphram as well a few weeks ago.... strange how it happens. luckily I was able to tear it down and replace it all in 25 mins at the house! Nice to have extra parts and pumps laying around. I have 2 pumps mounted on the trailer now for that reason.
