Actually Mike, what you suggested is the way it is suppossed to be done. Getting everyone to play by the rules is hard sometimes.

How about this for a suggestion;

Everybody, prior to posting anything, think about what you are going to say and how others could perceive the meaning. Don't look at that as censorship, but as common sense. Meanings can very easily be mis-understood when something is read on a forum, just like this post will probably pizz off some. See what I mean!.

The whole intention of this forum is to help each other learn and grow, not to promote ill feelings through personal opinions and objectives.

If we all try to do better the whole attitude may change here at RCIA.

Mike, I normally do unless I don't think it's neccessary. Today I edited out a f-bomb didn't think I needed to inform the poster.

I have always contacted the person if this was going to happen giving them a chance to edit or delete themselves. Personally I don't do any delete unless it is really over the top.

I always contact the poster first actually i ask them first to edit it, then if I dont see any results I then just wipe it (delete)

thanks everyone just trying to play by the rules. No tom a f bomb is not in need of notification but i was speaking of a total deletion of a post. you guys are doing a great job and gary that was a great answer to my question. And no im not being a smart ass.

I've made a number of posts that don't show up on my post count.
Seems like I looked back and saw that at least a couple of those posts are still on the forum.
Maybe it's my screwup, but I don't recall being notified if it was.

Not such a big deal, but it kind of hurts my post count (towards 100).

yup they do, as far as posts being deleted there is a few MOD and Chris T. so it could be anyone. Some posts do get buried and some have been deleted, there has been over the last few months some glitches in the system, at one point I think there was a rash of missing posts. Hard to say
