This is my newest roof cleaning chemical creation called "Apple Goo". I just made it today, and we will be field testing it on 2 big Tile Roofs we are cleaning in the Westchase sectiono of Tampa.
It uses some stuff you have never heard of before, and it is "Top Secret" at this moment.
If you look closely, you can see the Goo dropping from the spoon into the glass.
Good luck,If you could show before and after that will be great
Well, we know a roof cleaning mix will clean a roof, but the Apple Goo is sort of like a GEL that will cling better, with less run off. It will also increase dwell time, allowing weaker SH mixtures, saving money and Plants!
Unlike Foam, it is clear, so you can SEE it working, and no special foaming devices will be needed. Just a good pump, and the desire to make some money!
We use an air diapraghm pump, so we will find out today.
My Son has 2 big tile roofs to clean, so we will see how it works. I JUST made some Goo an hour ago, already it looks like Hair Gel
It is way too thick! I had to stir it, but it thickeens up apparantly, the longer it sits. I must experiment, but feel I am on the verge of an exciting roof cleaning breakthrough!
I can see it don't take much of my Apple Goo mix to do what I want it to do.
This was honestly an accident. I have been playing with different chlorine compatible roof cleaning chemicals, and accidentally mixed 2 together during an experiment. Chit started happening fast, and pretty soon, we had Chlorine Jello. I have not used this to clean roofs yet, though my Son is doing 2 tile roofs with a crude mixture of this in his tank. The stuff seems to keep getting thicker and thicker, the longer it sits. I did not dare put as much in our tanks, did not want to take a chance of Making Jello! I swear to God, this stuff looks like Hair Gel with Chlorine in it.
With more dwell time we can use a weaker mix, with less money spent on chems, and little run off. Plus, it is CLEAR, and unlike Foam, you can see it clean! I say hopefully, because I have not fully field tested it yet. Also, one of the chemicals is actually a fragrance dispersant that I was looking at to allow a cheaper way to cover the chlorine smell. Imagine a one step roof cleaning product that will Gel Up the mix, and smell good too, CHEAP ! It MIGHT even increase dwell time enough to allow store bleach to clean, and if so, I can sell it to every homeowner in america as a do it yourself way to clean their own roof.
Aaron, I was just amazing myself how thick I could make it, LOL It was kind of looking like Hair Gel, with Chlorine in it. I almost think you could take a bucket of it up on a roof with a soft paint roller on a stick, and simply roll it on ? Roof Cleaning Bio Gel - Apple Goo - Bring The Cling.
BTW, I THINK our air pumps can be modified to spray a GOO !!!!!!!!!!
In Theory, the increased dwell time of the Roof Cleaning Gel should allow a weaker mix that stays put better Aaron. Better then Foam because this is transparent, so hopefully we will see it clean ?
Heyya Guys, I know i'm new here and love the idea getting the mixture thicker with less foam. Every post i have read shows everyone trying t mix chemicals together, has anyone ever thought of a food additive such as clear gelatin. Surely giving the right ratio that stuff should thickin up the mixture. No added bonuses to the mixture but surely that would thickin it and its 100% safe and biodegradeable. I was just brain storming on other thickining ideas.

Good Thinking Tony, but be aware Gelatin will weaken the mix!

Chris, Will you be seeking the help from AC and Delco to help you manufacture and promote this new product????

Chris,
Let us know how your son made out. Does the "apple goo" mask the chlorine smell also? I also use an air diaphram pump. How much less SH did you use?

We have 300 gallon tanks, and we did not make up enough Goo for THAT amount of Chemical. It did thicken up the mix slightly, just not enough.
We have a 7000 sq ft tile to do Monday(tomorrow), and we are going to try our best to get a thicker Goo.
But 300 gallons is a LOT of chemical, and we often need that amount. Even at a 1 percent concentration, it requires 3 gallons of Goo.
This past few weeks has been almost ALL big Tile Roof days, not our favorites to do. You make more money cleaning shingle roofs, they use way less chemicals, and clean up faster and easier.
Can't wait to see final product, hope it works as well as advertised.
A Few RCIA Testers are currently testing some "quick and dirty" Gel Technology I showed them using Dawn Dish Soap, but they are sworn to secrecy, until after the Tampa Roundtable, where I will show everyone how cheap and easy it is to make a Roof Cleaning Gel with Dawn, of sorts.
As I said, I have the technology to make a Super roof cleaning Gel, it is just expensive.
The Gel made out of Dawn Dish Soap is NOT as good, but it is so cheap and easy to make, it is a worthwhile improvement IMHO over any non gelled roof cleaning solution.

Chris the question now is it going to be safe to use on painted walls for washing down siding of house.
