Dave, I know the neighborhood his house was in, that helped. But it's amazing how much you can see from google.

How do the data packages work with the ipads?

Can you do everything on them that you can on your home computer?

You can do most anything you can with a home computer, just need to get the apps for the Ipad.

I have the 59 gb have only used about 8 gb in a year. I have my phone setup as a mobile hotspot for $20.00 a month. That way I can use it anywhere

Good idea. I was afraid I would have to pay another $100/month if I got an I-Pad.

Looking at Google maps I was able to identify dirty roofs and obtain the addresses. Could be an efficient means of identifying potential customers. I wonder how often the satellite images are updated?

Dave, I believe it's about every 3 years. A lot of Florida got updated in January. The old image was actually 4 yrs old because my old truck and boat were still in it.

Looked up my address and it was 13 houses off and on the wrong side of the street.

Not quite reliable enough for me, yet! But, then again I live in Kentucky. Probably close enough for us hillbillies!! disbelief

I would not trust google/mapping software for exact addresses, but it works great for identifying neighborhoods, a general area, or tract home developments! In the neighborhood I referenced in the original post, his house was spot on as far as addresses/photos go, but many times I have been mislead by mapping software. My point about the Ipad was the speed and efficiency with which I was able to respond to him. 50% of the houses in my area could NOT be bid using goggle/mapquest/bing/etc/ , but for the 50% that mapping software does work on, it is a huge timesaver!
