Is this the right dawn to use it come's in 1 gallon size..

I came across a local wholesaler for restraunts today and they had dawn in 1 gallon sizes,would this type of dawn be ok to use with SH, its not Antibacterial thanks in advance....

I will be using Dawn for now my local supplier only had drums of the Ammonyx Lo, a little expensive for now!$974.00 +Tax disbelief

Call Don with Brainerd Chemical and ask for BC-MAO. It's Ammonym-M and it is about $66 for 5Gallons plus shipping, but it's not bad. 5 Gallons has lasted me for several roofs already, so it's not like you need a ton of this stuff in stock unless you bang out 20 roofs a week.

That dawn will work fine.

We had the same problem locating Ammonyx lo cheap. Locally we could get 55 gallon drum for $1000 from Univar, ouch! We opted to get 5 gallons shipped from Lori in Florida. We hated paying the extra for shipping so I started searching out local soap company's. I found one 30 miles away and the receptionist lives by me so if we need 5 gallons she writes me up and drops it off.   wink

Actually  that will work , but if your going to use dawn , get the orginal  ULTRA , much better,  and also  the ammox -m  from don (brainard) works great , i use 32oz to a 40 gallon mix.  sticks like glue, alot less run off and his prices you can not beat

May I ask what your complete formula is. I have been using in a 100 gallon tank 34 gal SH, 66 gal water, and 50 oz of Simple Cherry that I buy from Bob at Pressure Tek. I still have too much run off, and I am interested in knowing if I eliminate the Simple Cherry and add Dawn will it still activate the SH?

 Thanks Dave I'm going to be looking into the Ammonyx M there is a lot of steep roofs where I live.

I use store brand from Target. It says right on the bottle do not m ix with chlorine but I like it as i makes a chemical reaction and works way faster and I use less SH

 Hi aaron I checked on the back of the bottle of the Ultra and it does'nt say anything about not mixing with bleach, I phoned the 1 800# on the bottle to find out too,still waiting for the call back..

 No it does not, just dont use anti bacterial AB, the fumes are not healthy , and it will foam,

I use ajax in a pinch and works fine

OK guys.I just got back from the $ general & Wallyworld & every bottle of Dawn I looked at says"Do Not Add Bleach" What am I missing here?

 Dont believe them...LOL... Seriously, I have been using the blue dawn for years with no problems. Your right though. They all say not to mix them.

Dave is right about the antibacterial bottles. I tried it once and thought I was gonna pass out in an enclosed pool deck area. Nasty fumes.
