Here is the one I did for next to nothing for advertising purposes.

Gave an estimate today, smaller tile roof but the lady was 86 years old and is BROKE. But her HOA is going to fine her if she doesn't clean her roof. So I offered to do it for free next time we have a job in her area if she will keep my larger than normal yard sign in her yard for a month... She cried and blessed me 20 times before I left her house.

Also called her HOA and am trying to work out a deal with them to clean all the older tile roofs in the community.

I clean Chase banks here in dallas I did a free cleaning a while back on parking garage stairwells.. they saw the difference and they use me now...I've been cleaning a 7-11 for free hoping to get their account....will see.....

Do you just clean it in hopes of getting the account? Do they not use anyone now and are just letting you do it free of charge?

I did the guy's roof across the street with some left over mix. My neighbors now love me for cleaning up the neighborhood!

We have done plenty of free roof cleaning in our time! Once, I had a leaking bulkhead, and cold called a church and sprayed them for free. (had to get rid of 300 gallons of roof cleaning chemical)
Here we are doing volunteer Tampa Roof Cleaning with my Singles Group! This helped us win Business Of The Year at our Chamber Of Commerce. We got, and still get a LOT of work from this, though it was not our intention. It is ALL about Karma my friends. Do good chit for others, and good chit happens for you.

Phil... They were'nt interested in switching.....I just had to show them I would do a specific area( Parking Garage) (Stairwell cleanning) yes I did some for free now I am a vendor for them...

Also I'm having 8x10 postcards made featuring sidewalk cleaning 5-10 dollars.
I figure it will a great oppurtunity for a customer to get to know me...So I can sell Roof cleaning........

Yes it is Brett. I usually get asked about zinc strips when a customer calls. With this Before picture I can show them how these strips do not work, and how much more efficient a cleaning is. My arrangement with this gentlemen was that I could place signs in his yard for however I long I'd like and he agreed to putting a review on Angies List for us. We actually just put the signs back up for the Spring.
