Many may not realize that the Small Business Administration offers free mentor counseling for small business owners. The mentors are retired business exec's and business owners the volunteer their time to counsel small business owners. Every city have an SBA office.

I have used this mentor service and they partnered me with a retired business owner that was in a very successful service business for many years. Not only was he able to advice me on how to structure my business, he helped with the marketing and gave me a list of great networking groups for my type of business.

This program really helped me with my business plan and I cannot put a price on the value it offered. I also have direct contact if I have any further questions.

They will also walk you through a small business loan for free if you should want such.
