Ok, so it took a little getting used to, but I eventually got more comfortable with applying the chems via downstreaming. I ordered a new high draw injector, but it is adjustable and did not come with instructions. I think that it possibly was set incorrectly, because my mix wasn't doing squat for cleaning the house. Does anyone know how to properly set these adjustable injectors? My machine is a 18HP Vanguard, 3500 PSI and 5.5GPM.
Thank you.

I didn't realize it was adjustable when ordering and didn't specify when I placed the order, either. I do suspect that I was pulling much, much, much more water than chem, though.

Damn, that stinks! I will order a new one tomorrow. I'll tell ya, I went to wash this house after my regular work day and it was a bear all the way because of this... The house I was washing is 4,000 square feet and I have to come back to finish it up tomorrow, I knew something just wasn't working right. To make a long story short, I ended up scrubbing most of the house with an extension pole and a brush! Any adjustments I made to the injector and my mix were not much help. It took forever and I still have to come back since it got dark on me, and the customer asked me to clean something else for him. Argggghhhhh, it was embarrassing and frustrating, but at least the customer didn't know how much I was actually fuming inside! Ha ha ha.
Talk to you tomorrow, Chris. Thanks for chiming in.

phil did you check your chlorine was it good ? Did you have enough soap in the mix what was you mix ratio? I down stream all the time with great results. Also how much hose did you have going? Unless its the super suds you should only use 200 ft or less.
Hey Michael, I just cleaned a roof with the same chlorine a few days prior. I was using 150' of hose and my mix at the highest ratio was SH 4 gallons, 1 gallon water, 8oz simple cherry and some hang tite.

From the first few posts it sounds like you're leaning towards the downstreamer itself,..were you using the proper nozzle,..I'm sure you were,..but I always say,... leave no stone unturned when answering questions.
Hey guys, I was using the following to pull the chems: 0040 for soap high and 4040 for soap low. I'm assuming that I have the injector flowing in the right direction if some chems were being pulled? It was just so weak that it wasn't doing a whole lot to clean the siding.

Hey phil, I use 16oz Simple Cherry per 5er.
Do not use any surfactants. Simple Cherry has both
Surfacants to stay on the house, and rinse agents to
release it when you rinse. If you add surfactants you will
take much much more time rinsing.

Thanks Chris... I was trying the hang tite towards the end, trying to get it to cling to the siding better, hoping for at least some dwell time to help it clean better!
I ordered a new injector today, so hopefully it's here by the weekend.
