I was reading through a post (certification & vendors) I posted back in November of last year.

Everyone can debate the certification process till the cows come in, but "personally" I think the certification committee needs to have the opportunity to develop one, than let the debate begin.

I believe to much focus is had on certification, when you have the 50 point standards to work with and support the roof cleaning industry available right now.

By agreeing to commit to these standards anyone has the opportunity to start separating their service from the rest of the pack. Whether one agrees in total or part with the standards, to commit to them gives any potential customer something to place you above the competition. People want to deal with services that are creditable and accountable. So how do you as a service provider separate yourself from the rest. Simply by pointing out to them " if you have talked to the rest now talk to the best" and use these standards to support your commitment to the industry and your service.
