well its been a long misserable winter crab fishing in the ocean, but its almost over and. I am stoked to start cleaning roofs. I sat back and wached the moss grow like wild flowers in this part of the state, I ran an add in the local paper everry other wknd this winter just to let people no that I am still here and its paid off. I have six or seven bids out there, some signed, some not, some big ones and some small ones. I havn't even tried yet but I am getting geared up for it. just two months of crabing and BAM!! roof cleaning round two. I just got my general contractores licens, bonded and insured, no more messing around with specialty licenses, this yr going all out. I can't freeking wait to get started. I love this stuff. well I hope to start loging on a bit more. but still fishing so time is hard to come by. Good luck to all this yr.
Well mike what do you think of my website, I no its not much but I built it myself. No I am not a computer guy at all. so that website took me a while to do but it works for now.

Looks good. You're not a competitor so using my pictures doesn't effect me, not a big deal.
I am a former photographer, so I take more pride in my photographs than most professionals on the board and I feel like they are worth more than cutting and pasting on someone elses website for free.
Mike, Did you ever see me post about the guy that had one of my better before and after photos cover the entire side of his box truck? He put up some before and after photos of a job he did and you could see the truck in the background. He was not a competitor of mine and he really did try his hardest to pay me for the use of them after I made mention of it. He said his graphics guy told him that he would provide the pictures for his wrap. I wonder how many wraps are going around with my pictures on it?
Web site designers seem to "borrow" pictures all the time. It sucks, but I guess that is what we deal with when we make stuff available to the public. I am slowly watermarking all of my pictures. That way I don't have to worry about it any more.
Brian

Good luck Bob. Nice before and after photographs on your website. LOL!
Please ask me next time you want to use my copyrighted photographs that I took in Greensboro NC.
Bob, you're lucky Mike is a nice guy. He could have your website shut down easily.
Gotta raise the BS flag on that one John - sorry.
No BS. This can be serious business because of federal copywrite laws and a web host doesn't want problems from someone paying $20 / month to host his website. A thread in another forum talks about this from begining to end. Someone found his pic on another site and the guy wouldn't take it down. A few days later the guys site was shut down until the pic was removed. If it's not against RCIA rules, here's a link to the thread http://www.ptstate.com/index.php/topic,11744.48.html A lot of guys are looking for a way to watermark the pic's so people can't just take what they want.
Thanks for posting that John. That same scenario had a thread over here as well, but it kind of faded away.
Anywho, I think the disconnect is that one is given a chance to rectify a situation such as that before they pull the plug on a web site. Your point is valid though bud.
