That's a nice start, Rodney. Time to get some roofs under your belt, and a website!

Looks good.

Save your money and skip the valpak. It will return exactly 0% ROI. Use it to make yard signs. Much better ROI.

Yeah Yard signs have been my stand by for years roofing. I was just trying to think of something new. Have you tried vpac?

Yes we've tried it. In our market it doesn't work. I haven't heard ANYONE say it worked in their market either. This is what works

Website
Yard signs
Rock flyers
Check it out flyers
Truck graphics

Other things will get you small amounts of work here and there, but these are our top performers. (Not in that order)

We did valpac and our local money mailers! Nothing works like flyers and yard signs! Do a FREE roof to get in to a good neighborhood you want.

Id recommend putting a 12" pvc wand on the end of that gun. If theres even a small leak and it runs down your arm, youre going to regret it.

You can get the grey 1/2" threaded pieces from Home Depot in the Sprinkler/Irrigation Section.

Great starter Rodney , it will get the job done , all great  info from the guys , Im with them, 95% of our business comes from the net, whether its our web site or a blog, actually got a job from face book this year already. Signs work great for us and also post cards or flyers in baggies. we actually got our first work  with a flyer in a walmart that had a slit in it for business card to stick out of... I have gotten many of jobs that way.... now hear say is working ...
great job , do some roofs !!!

Dave

Gotta love how RCIA sticks together!

About the yard signs, do you just leave them out there until they get picked up, or do you pick them up after a few weeks? Any recommendations or pictures of what a good yard sign will look like and a good place to get them?

Rodney, I'm with the other guys on Valpak, that stuff usually goes straight into the garbage. One thing I tried last year (my first year) was ServiceMagic. It's not recommended by everyone, but it can get your phone ringing and in front of customers for 12 bucks or less per lead. I landed several nice sized jobs that made ServiceMagic easily worth it for me, plus you get a chance to keep their business for life and get their neighbors, too.

Phil, I'm going with the cheap plastic signs this year and I'm going to leave them behind on every job.  Not sure what I'm putting on them yet.

Ours are 18x 24 and we leave them in the yard. Some homeowners leaves them for weeks, some throw Them away the next day. I saw a homeless guy with one of our signs recently begging for money. LOL. Thought about offering him a referral fee to anyone who called me after seeing him hold our sign. LOL
