Is this Tool Usefull and who is using IT?

Ron, I prefer to bag the gutters and have the run off removed completely from the area.

But if I was gonna dilute at the downspout,..I think running the water hose at the end of the gutter and diluting it as it comes out. end result is the same,...and just watering at the downspout would be simpler.

May I add also,..roof cleaning doesn't need to be made complicated with these type things or with the different bleach neutralizers and applications.

I, like many others here have done 100's if not 1000's of roof cleanings with just using water as the product to protect surroundings. These guys buying all this gimmicky stuff are just gonna lose out to guys doing it the tried and proven way,...and the cheaper way. Not to mention SIMPLER!!

Yes Chris,..I like lots of water, I spray ALOT of water everywhere,..even when it doesn't seem necessary.
I tell my customers,.."You're plants will not die from the product,..BUT they may die from over watering" Ha,Ha..

I can't tell you how often we've used that same line doing decks! Your plants won't die from our products - we're more likely to drown them!

I think guys in Florida will care about the neutralizer more than others. Only because they have all those houses with no gutters.

We always rinse the gutters at the end of the job, as SH is corrosive to the gutters and the sealants on them. I have been using the gutter cane and find it to be useful.

Of course here in MD and up there in PA we get gutters all the time and that helps protect the plants. We water and tarp all the time, but I would like to see if the neutralizer would stop people from tarping.

Bill, is this neutralizer supposed to work with liquid hypo or just the powder? The issue with liquid hypo is also the amount of salt that is left behind. I'm almost positive that salt cannot be neutralized,..and salt will kill plants and burn leaves. Salt needs to be diluted.

I suggest people continue to water extensively and let these extra expenses on the shelf. What value does it really provide? We've been doing it with water for YEARS without issue. Just added expense,..not added value.

From what I understand it is a Chlorine neutralizer, so it would work on any substance that creates the free radical chlorine. But as far as I know it does not effect the salt which as you said and have even originally taught me is a big problem as well if not more of a problem than chlorine exposure to plants. Hence my statement before, it might be good for gutter less jobs were active chlorine can burn leaves and flora. As far as salt dilution is definitely the solution as salt shock attacking the roots will actually kill the plant. Leaf burn is usually self repaired by a live plant, but as you well know Jeff, Salt shock will kill the entire plant.

Its a good idea to keep one on the truck. You could probably make one out of soft copper.

We bag the gutters, yet when it comes to rinsing the gutters of the SH solution, this $6 version does the trick quite nicely.

I agree that your six dollar version will work great, but you should see me and my help slam these aluminum ones on the ground. I thought about making a video showing guys that you can beat on concrete with it and it will be fine. I have a feeling the pvc would not hold up the same.
I think Mikes Idea of copper would be good and also a cheap alternative that would last.
I want to send employees out to clean roofs. I have no intention of going to even one residential job this year. You have to give them stuff that doesn't break from stepping on it or dropping it. We had this problem with pvc extension wands for our spray guns. We broke well over 20 of them.

I forgot about the tee you added, I really like the Tee! And to prevent arguments, I think the MSRP could be less as well.

No argument from me bud. When I have employee operated rigs on the road, more commercial grade equipment will have it's place with us. It's all good as they say Bill.

I may try a pipe bender on some pre-threaded pipe from the big box store for a heavy duty version at some point. Then again, they'll thread it for you too. Or you can just wedge a nozzle under a spike like I did for a while
