Here are some updates on recent decisions made by the board of directors based on the response from members of the RCIA.
We have recognized the perceived conflict of interests not only in having a vendor as a moderator but as having any Executive Board member be a moderator other than the System Administrator, Chris Tucker. In order to rectify this, we have voted to add a clause to the RCIA by-laws that the Executive Directors other than the system Admin may not have moderator privileges of the RCIA forum and will not be involved with the moderation of the forum.
As of today AC, Gary and myself will not be moderating the forum.
Any further concern over the validity of a BOD members place on the board can be handled in the manner of private correspondence to a member of the Board of directors, or moderators. The members of the RCIA will have the opportunity to elect new representation and management for the RCIA in June or July during the time when we arrange the national convention. We will do our best to present information more clearly, and ask for all members patience in all matters as we are working to organize and present this information.
Please congratulate fellow RCIA members Bruce Sullivan and Ted Saunders as they have been voted on as moderators by the BOD.
We look forward to presenting the new version of the standards and a better explanation of how the document is to be used next week.It will be available for vote by the membership in the membership area of the forum.
