Recently bought some 1" hose, polybraid for the inlet side of my pump. The hose has a flat shape to it and is not perfectly round. The last time I used my 5850 pump ,I was having trouble with the pump loosing prime. I could not find a air leak anywhere so I assumed it had something to do with my hose being semi-flat. My hose is only 8 ft long. What do you guys think? Is there a different hose that won't go flat available? Or am I missing something?

I have NEVER seen any polybraided AG Hose, and polybraid can be soft hose, not the best choice for the inlet side of a pump. True AG Hose is Stiff, usually yellow in color, not clear polybraid, can u post a pic ?
Sorry . I was thinking one thing and typing another. Its not an ag hose its flexible poly clear hose
A roof cleaning pump needs a stiff intake hose that will not suck shut, we try to use stiff AG Hose on the intakes of our pumps, when we can. I would simple remove and replace that piece of hose, to eliminate it as a potential problem.
