anyone ever invested in any of these shows. They are all coming up in my area and booth rentals are upwards of $1500.00 for the weekend. Didn't know if it would benefit us or not. It sure would get the word out a little more maybe?
What is the attendance average? What is the income average for your area. I remember seeing this posted once before but I dont recall the outcome of the conversation.
I've been thinking of the same thing. There is no better way to get the word out and educate. I'm sure with the right booth set up would bring a lot of traffic. The people who go to those things are looking to do things to their homes. A roof cleaning could save them money to put into something else!
We did one last January. Got about 60 leads and handed out thousands of marketing pieces. We only got 1 job. When all was said and done we spent 3500 on the show.
it could be a real money maker if the market is not saturated, a gamble ? , but could bring some serious cash to you. Get some shingles from a roofer replacing a moldy roof for demo's. Give a bonus for signing a contract for spring cleaning, like a gutter clean or sidewalk. Bring lot's of info to educate, then the selling will be pretty easy. Best of Luck Kim R
Thats the good thing our market is wide open. No competition to speak of. Every customer we have says we didn't know there was such a thing as roof cleaning.
Success with home shows depends who's promoting or sponsoring the show. Your local Home Builders Association sponsored show would be the best. I wouldn't do one in the Fall (Depending on where you live), Spring would be best. Don't cheap out on your display, make it visible and informative.
Home Shows are about gathering info too. Have a "Give Away" $50 gift card, free cleaning, puppy...whatever. Customers fill out Name, address, phone #, and email so you can follow up later or use in a "email campaign". High booth prices can be a good thing, weeds out the "Haves From The Have Not".
We're about to do an annual PM Trade Show for an Association we belong to. It's only 5 hrs long and costs about 25% of what a Home Show costs. ROI is Super.
