RUBBER FOR TRAILER DECK

Hey fellas I have a quick question. I'm getting started on my trailer. I want to put rubber on the deck in case of a spill and I think it looks better. My question is, should i put a 2x4 or something around the outside perimeter of the deck before the rubber so that if there is a spill or major leak it would be better contained until i can solve the problem.

I say, remove the decking on your trailer, rhino line the frame, axle etc and then replace your decking boards with composite decking. ALMOST SH proof!
