I know on MC that you have the ability to go in and review and delete comments.
Don't know about yahoo, but it too should give you that option. Get his IP address and I can get you a home address.

Thanks Gary. I've got his home address, and PROOF that he uses the same bogus login to inflate his own business as he does to hit me with 1 star rankings....

I did delete his comments on MC, but the bogus rankings stay.......Unless you reset, and then only anonymous rankings go away.

I can find no way to delete comments or rankings on yahoo.. Currently that's secondary to getting the header off of there from where he 'hacked it'... That's what I really need help with. That one is ugly......

Thanks, and thanks Art. I just had a look. I guess 'locked out' only pertains to written reviews, which is a bummer, because you can selectively delete any of those that you want, just not the rating that came with it.

Could use a pointer of two on my Yahoo local dilemma someone. Please.

You have NO IDEA how much I'd LOVE to do that, but I can see it now.... He'll ruin my internet presence...Continuing to hammer on me for it all..

I'm not sure exactly what the hacker did. If all he did was post negative things about you on your business accounts, that is unethical but not illegal. If on the other hand he actually Hacked into your account, that is a federal crime. Notify your Local Feds, and they will pay him a visit biggrin

I wrote yahoo cause I got the same situation with my good bio friend here, I wrote yahoo a really nice letter and with in a few days it was all gone, but what was done on google has been really difficult. I use yahoo as my web host, so maybe that was why they took care of it.
But I let yahoo who know how great the service and they were top dog in internet searches etc, then I let them know it was not from a consumer but a rival. I am glad that yahoo listened, google don't care.

@Gary and Art - he's actually about 9 hours away!! He's not even local. Let's just say he's a nut case that belongs on a home inspector forum.......

@Chris M - he did post negative things (all BS of course) but he also got in my yahoo local account, actual in it... If you look at a typical yahoo local post for a business, there will be an 'About:' heading near the top. The first part of this entry appears as a subheading when the search results pop up in yahoo local. He made some nasty comments in mine, then somehow removed my access to it to change it? I don't even see that as an option any longer. This is what I need a hand with as I can't figure it out.

@Chris H - I 'un-locked' it. It wasn't doing much good "locked", simply hiding remarks yet not having an effect on ratings. Thank you for the review. I have a number of reviews to write tomorrow to return the favor for all, as I'm behind on a few.

@Kim - Thank you for the tips on contacting yahoo. And for the offer to turn the power of 6 PCs loose on 'em. Let's hold tight for now, but if I decide to nuke his a$$, I'll call on the gracious offer of you and the others. Kim and Randy - if you don't have a MC account, please get one (free). Like others on here have said, it's really good.

@Dwayne - great to hear from you, and thanks for pointing that out! I did't really want to look this morning and get all grumpy since the RCIA NOVA conference will kick off in a couple of hours. I want to stay in a good mood.

Sorry for the lengthy post, and thanks again for the support. And if any of you are Yahoo local savvy, or even remotely savvy with free listings, I could really use some help with getting rid of that BS header.

*edit* I shouldn't have looked this morning but just did...he hit my Google places too... I wonder if he values his BBB rating?????????? furious

That's actually good he hit google, you can prove to google what he's doing and they'll blacklist him, they can completely remove him from their site and worse yet if his website is hosted through them or one of their affiliates they can wipe his whole site out. I think we need to show strength in numbers and post his info. I guarantee we can fix him up really quick!
