Has anyone used the Flojet accumulator tank for the 12volt pump system yet? I just got mine and hooked it up. I gave it a test run with some H2O and surfactant, it definately eliminated the continuous on and off cycling of the pump caused by me using a poly gun at the end of the hose. I can actually use way smaller nozzles to reduce run off if needed. I could see it coming in handy for bay window roof and small  pent roofs. We'll see how it holds up to the SH.

Hey Barry that reminds me of air shocks (air hammers) on copper supply lines to prevent banging and deal with air in the pipes.

I have a roof scheduled for tomorrow. I'll be trying it out with the SH. My goal is to reduce my run off by using my poly gun with a smaller nozzle. I prefer the gun over the ball valve, but with my 12 volt setup it seems to make the pump cycle on and off excessively. This tank is supposed to stop that from happening.

Jerry- I believe that this tank is used in RV's for that reason.

Barry - there should be no cycling if your pump is set up right and the correct size tips are being used.  Once air, if any, is purged from the hose, it should turn off and on instantly based on your gun or ball valve.

Use caution with that gun or any poly gun.  SH breaks it down quickly and it will get brittle/fragile over time.  And it's not just the poly guns - I snapped a 'riser' (1/2 inch threaded pvc pipe connected to a ball valve) with a tiny bit of pressure recently.  The SH just eats everything up.  Might want to get in the habit of replacing plastic/pvc before it breaks.

It doesn't cycle on and off when I use  a 40 or larger tip and let the poly gun run wide open, but I wanted to try and limit the run off I've been getting and experiment with smaller nozzle sizes. So I figured I would give this tank a shot. It seems to be working fine so far.

 Thanks fo the heads up Ted. I actually just stocked up on a few guns last week just for that reason. I usually check all fittings every three weeks, and replaced the PVC once this season already. I'll redo everything again for next season over the winter.
