I have a situation where I have a two story home that has a downspout that drains into a terracotta drain that runs under a porch. I can not tell weather it terminates under the bushes on the other side of the porch or in the yard. I am concerned about the runnoff. The gutter is one piece and extends into the terracotta making it virtually inpossible to bag the gutter. Would running watter into the downspout to saturate the area were the drain ends keep the SH from damaging bushes or grass? I have delt with gutters running into a french drain, but have been able to work with that. Any suggestions?
You can run water into the drain for a good 10 minutes before you start then let it continue to run while your spraying. Thats what I would do. Im sure someone will follow my post with a correction.

Had the same situation once and run water before and during. 2 months later no issues.
Call AC about a gutter cane. If it does run into the bush you'll want to make sure the gutters are flushed so there's no residual runoff. The canes have come in VERY handy.
