Just wanted to say thanks to Chris for referring me to this site. I have been watching and reading his posts on PWI. I have pressure washed for about 25 years but have not done a great got out of it a few years ago. Now because of changes in my wife's employment I am able to do it again. We purchased a Landa PGHW and started building accounts but it seems like everyone wants to do flat work these days. However I have been noticing there is no one doing roofs around here except Thad and he lives 90 miles away. I feel like my biggest challenge will be educating the customer on the benefits of having their roof cleaned and seeing a need to do so. I am hoping to show the value of it to local real estate agents so that they might be motivated to recommend cleaning to their clients. I will start with doing only roofs I feel confident doing and expand as my confidence grows as this is a totally new area for me. When Chris said read that is what i did. I started about 10 pm last night and when I looked at the clock next it was 3:30 this morning. There is a lot of great info here. I am now trying to decide on what roof rig to get since I have learned that using my pressure washer is not the way to go due to the damage it can cause. I did my roof with it with no problem but did notice the loss of granules. other than that cleaning it really made a difference and I can see where it can really save the customer money due to the misconception that their only alternative is to replace the roof. Thanks Chris for all you are doing to teach this trade and thanks in advance to the other members on this forum willing to educate and offer advice.
