I am told that this gun will last and will come with a one year warranty by a sales rep. The catch is it is $135. It's from Annovi R What do you guys think. Also My old gun just bit the dust after 2 plus months of trial and was a great gun, 13gpm. I would spend another $35 but I do believe there is a better one out there.

I cleaned over 40 roofs with the same ball valve. Cost me about $7 to make my gun. Whats that AR gun made of? Looks like a pw gun. If the ball is ceramic it will hold up. Im sure it has brass connections that will surely not take very long to get grinded out.
What size ball valve? I just made one and uced it for the first time yesterday. I have a fatboy with a 5/8 hose. I made a gun using a 3/4'' ball valve but it came out to fast and hard. Plus use double the mix.

Ball valve, been using for years simple and easy, plus if needed I just throw a trigger sprayer that you would use for a garden hose, mostly all plastic if needed. Usually get 40 to 50 roofs out of the ball valve, 20 or so out of a nozzle that is only 2.39 at lowes.
How is the trigger action? ( Carpel Tunnel issues)

The one I have isn't bad Kim, no worse than holding the hose or anything else really.
I hear you guys on the ball valve, I mean I have ball valves and have used them for quite a while, but the best solution would be a gun. I mean it is a lot safer all around, if you need to use your other hand to hold on to something or if you drop your gun it continues spraying.
Just seeing if anyone has had any luck long term with a gun. I didn't buy that one above there, but I was told it should hold up. I have another one and it just went.

If you are an owner/operator check out the Suttner ST-2700 SS Spray Gun. It has a feather touch trigger that makes it nice for quick touchups. You cna get it for $65 from Sunbrite by ordering it on the web, normally they are about $135. Google ST-2700 for your best price if Sunbrite's price has changed.
If you have employees that are going to use it, use a ball valve as they are cheap and you get what you pay for.
ST-2700 SS Spray Gun
Applications:
All stainless steel internal components create a durable long lasting trigger gun, especially suitable when using corrosive chemical. Comfort technology designed trigger system actually helps the operator keep the trigger open. Fatigue is reduced, allowing longer work periods.
Features: All stainless steel components create a durable, long lasting trigger gun. Suttner exclusive relax-action trigger and comfort grip reduces trigger force up to 20% and holding force up to 60%. Easiest opening and holding trigger in it's class. Proper spray angle for optimal positioning of pressure points. 12 GPM
Im using a garden hose nozzle as well but did have a problem today with one sticking open. That was fun comming done off the ladder crimping the hose til I got down. I finally got it to work and it seems to be doing fine now.

The absolute safest way is a ball valve before the gun.

After a recent white roof job I finally realized pitch is a problem sometimes. Going to try and make a wand or gun that will shoot both distance and fan spray. Any suggestions?

put a 1/4 quick connect on the end of the wand. use a multi tip holder or you'll have a tip dripping love in your pocket when you change.

I think that the gun (black one that looks similar to a gas pump gun) is made by PA and marketed by General Pump as well as others.
It is a YG1732 by GP's part numbers. Our everday price is $114.34.
The ST2700 is $66.76 no matter where you purchase it. It does not come with the ceramic ball. You need to check the ceramic ball repair kits to make sure that it is actually a ceramic ball. Suttner accidentally mislabelled a bunch of the repair kits that should have had a ceramic ball and instead the unknowing customer receives and installs a ss ball.
If you guys are serious about finding other options. Check out high flow sites such as products related to water blasting.
Should you have any requests or need information, please send an email or give me a call!

Lori, take a look at the 2700 schematic that you attached. Unless the ball is in part # 7, then the suttner ST2700 does not have a ball at all. I have several of them and for power washing they have lasted 6 years. My 3rd one I now use for roof cleaning and it has worked flaswlessly since June. I have 3 rebuild kits sitting in my parts bin unused. There is no visible ball in those kits.
