Windy day today and mist overspray was flying pretty far. Got me to thinking.....Have you guys every used anything to block your overspray? Like a piece of cardboard or a chunk of aluminum, etc. ? We use cardboard when we stain decks to do railings and lay against the house to ovoid overspray and it works great. Now I know the love will probably eat the cardboard pretty quick but it still might work. I was also thinking of a piece of aluminum about three feet tall with a 2'' 90 degree bend to rest on the gutter fasteners. Any thoughts?

Solo as in working alone? If that is the case then the solution is simple: hire a helper. I don't think you should ever attempt to do any roof cleaning alone. The ground tech has a very important role in the entire process: safety, rinsing the surrounding area, etc.
