Here is some Brandon Roof Cleaning Volunteer work I did, way back when. I highly suggest doing roof cleaning work for charity, especially if you are new to the roof cleaning business. It is an excellent way to build awareness of your new roof cleaning company.

Any ideas how to find charity work that would be in need of roof cleaning or soft washing?

Griz - I'm sure your question was geared towards Chris.  I'd like to share a few ideas on this topic that I've been thinking about.  Hope you don't mind.

There's a volunteer fire depart the next county over with a roof that looks terrible.  Those volunteers keep their gear in top shape.  I can only imagine they'd like the fire house to look as nice.  I plan on speaking with some folks over there the next time we have a lull.

There are a number of churches around here that could really use a roof cleaning too.  In this case, I need to ensure that by being charitable, that I'm not giving away too much business that could be sold instead.

There's a private 'day school' that is church affiliated nearby as well.  The roof looks terrible. The church that it's affiliated with, right down the block from it, is very historic and kept neat as a pin.  I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Those are some of the ideas I've been thinking about.  Would like to hear any ideas from you or others on the same?

(Not sure why my font size keeps changing?  I can see it via 'Show Preview', but not while I'm typing?)

Speaking of charity I would like to get a day together for roof cleaners in my area and clean a public or historic building. We could get some news coverage and get some public awareness for our industry. I think it would be a blast

That's a great idea, Chet.  I have a few cleaners around me that will probably be interested.

Totally agree with you Chris!  Thats why I give these guys out to any charity I can find.  Always remember, you can UPSELL the customers who buy your service at a silent auction a house wash, driveway, etc!

Don't be afraid to GIVE your services away!!!!!

Chet I got a VFW that needs it bad here. Wanna bring Bill on it too. How to get news coverage and all I dont know. I quoted them a nice price. There hurting. So if we can get this done as a charity. News coverage. I'm all for it! They have replace 1/3 of the roof. Its a big building. The other 2/3 are black.

Next year I can do it myself for free.

Count me in on any ideas you have for up there.
