There is nothing out there yet that doesnt require a scrubbing of the gutters to get them clean.

May be Brandon has something that don't require scrubbing, he has been cleaning gutters for quite some time. What say you Brandon, do you have to scrub the gutters?

It's funny how some gutters do not look so bad, yet can be tough to get them the way I'd like. Then theres times they look downright awful and they come like new.

Very helpful. How do you guys price the face cleaning? I have a pretty good pricing guide for gutter cleaning, but I need some help to price face cleaning. It looks much more time consuming than just cleaning the gutters.

Can't help you there. I don't up charge for this service so I don't really have a seperate pricing structure. Gutter whitening is included in my house washing pricing.

You guys move the ladder around the while house brushing f13 on and scrubbing, and don't charge additional? That doesn't seem right unless I'm missing something. That sounds like more work than washing the roof...

I did my first gutter whitening job today using F13 I got from pressuretek. They turned out great, I'll try to post some pics. But guys I gotta tell you, it raised more questions. How in the hell are you making money by including this in a house wash? It took me about 30 minutes to clean the gutters, charged $75. I figured the whitening would take an hour and a half or so and I charged $100. It took me 3 and a half hours. It was a ton of work. I used a 32 ounce squirt bottle to spray the solution on and then scrubbed with a brush. The gutters were severely stained so it took 2 to 3 applications on basically every spot. I had a ground helper rinsing because it was my first time using the F13 and I'm not sure if it kills foliage like apple cider & sauce. Is that necessary?

Any advice would be great. It was so much work and so time consuming that I'm feeling like I'm going to have to charge an arm and a leg to make it worth my while.

Goood to have another gutter cleaner in here!!! I'm not alone now! lol!!!! Go to depo and get an extended pole. You can just do 3 stories. Heres a pic.

Comet or Ajax with a wet rag was what I have used for 20 years, cost effective, you can clean a lot of gutters for a $1.00 biggrin

Thanks guys but that didn't really answer my question about rinsing the ground or how to make this worthwhile....well the pole idea slightly did but that looks like a pain in the ass

Hey guys there is also a product that I have used for years and works great. It is called Gutter Buster and is relatively inexpensive. Hope this helps

Your correct I got side tracked on how to clean gutters...now to answer your question.

I do not clean them off unless I do it as an add on. The SH will clean the gutters up, but it will not remove stubborn stripes.

There are several kinds of aluminum gutters, some some clean, some don't. Always, try Krud Kutter First because 50% of the gutters we clean come absolutely clean with the old spray and walk away method. No scrubbing at all. Spray on, give it 5 and hose it off. I have an arsonal of gutter cleaners that we try real quick as part of our routine now because some work without moving that ladder.
And I am talking about no white driveway or drip lines on the grass, nothing like that. Spray, walkaway, hose, no paint coming off for a good portion of out work, not all customers but a good bit.

And it has the eco friendly seal on there, which doesn't mean its perfect but it helps out. I have said this 15 times on the forum and nobody comments.

At least around me we can buy it anywhere. It is like $10 and worth a spot on your rig.
