Cleaned roof/house and gutter on last thursday. Got a call from HO there were white spots on patio furniture / railing. Best I can figure, this is from "white water" from F-13 "gUtter grenade" Two days of rain have not washed the white spots off...any ideas how to remove them?
Day I washed was very hot & sunny and white water (which included gutter wash-off and splash-back) landed on patio furniture & patio screens. I may not have caught it in time for quick rinsing????? Pretty sure it dried there on high $$$$ patio furntiure.
I did rinse it off patio screen, and touched up with goof off. How do I get white spots off black patio furniture & railing? This has never happened to me before!!!!!!!!!!!

Try wiping it all down with a little butyl degreaser. ( Sodium hydroxide) This SHOULD remove the spots your talking about if it was back splash from the gutter cleaning.

good luck with that Ray, let us know how you make out!
Was exceptionally hot and never even noticed the spots drying so fast, plus a little stressed out from having to work solo......hose dragger/ground guy had drop/add that day @ college!
Worried that the over-spray has "bonded" to the coatings on the railing/furniture and left me a mess!!!!!!
I'll be calling PressureTek in the AM, on my way to the job. Have GOT to make this customer happy!!!!!!
Applied f-13 at 10-1 ratio, srcubbed with gutter brush, then rinsed off. Over-splash from rinse landed on patio stuffz??????????......i never noticed it, I saw whitewater on floor and rinsed it off. I did not see whitewater on patio furniture/railings...it was just wet. least I'm guessing thats what happened????? Very confused.

Hey Ray it might be a good idea to try the F13 on a sponge to clean it. If that doesn't work try using either Krud cutter or Chomp. Just test spots first. They should definitely work.

If all else fails, use a little polishing compound on a damp cloth. It'll take some elbow grease but will likely do the trick with no risk to the finish.
This happened to me with trex and red pavers. It came off only with pressure. Not sure if this applies to you. I keep everything wet on the ground and rinse, rinse, rinse.
I agree that trying the f-13 then potential the hydroxide in test spots first. Don't be confused, it happens. You broke down the oxidized part of the enamel from the gutter and etched it onto another surface. There is most likely a way to get it off, just might take some tests, until you find the right solution. I would also attempt to hit it with very light steel wool such as 0000 for finishing.
Always test spots and if using chems let test spots sit and see if there are adverse effects in ten minutes.

I would definatly try the polishing compound, I sprayed bug spray all over my lanai frame, and it was hot out as well, well it turned white and almost burned into the paint. I tried everything to get it off. So on a cool day I hit with some car polish from my boys collection. It helped alot and eventually returned to the normal finish. Get a good car wax, as far as the furniture, try to scratch a tiny area with your fingernail to see if it is just meshed in the fibers or has actually changed the color of the fabric. Get a pair of reading glasses to really see up close. Good Luck

My son Jer informed me to try using a clay bar kit from walmarts, it has a block of clay to rub out the spots , them polish with the wax
He uses it all the time for his car and his brother mustangs. It is only 20 bucks might be worth it.

Two things did the trick....."back to black" by mothers for the webbing on the patio furniture, and rubbing compound for the furntiure. I tried everything else too. Thanks for your help...saved me severl hundred dollars!

just another lesson to always look around when rinsing. this "white-water" from the gutters splashed 20 feet ways from the house in an area i wasn't even paying attention to. By the time I saw it it had dried and adhered to the furniture.
