Interesting job this week....a customer calls me who had tried to clean his roof on his own last week. He had made a mix of household bleach, TSP, and water applied with a pump-up, but was unhappy with the results. I know why...do you???????
He was VERY familiar with the process of cleaning and we began chatting about how he called came about calling me. Turns out, he had searched "roof cleaning" and had learned a great deal about cleaning from the RCIA. When he was unhappy with his results, he called me, as I was listed in Tallahassee, Florida, and he had read a few of my posts and was assured of my professionalism.
BTW...red roof only 5 years old, and showing about 20% coverage of GM.....but stuck out like a sore thumb on the red roof. Customer works at a "big-box" home improvement store and has access to about half a dozen roof cleaners, but still came here for info and believed our truths rather than the claims of the "store shelf stuff". He mentioned that the cleaners off the shelf all wanted you to add "bleach" for best results, so he realized that SH must be the way to go! The other junk in the "off the self cleaners" was just filler.
Proof positive the RCIA works, both for us as professionals, and for attracting consumers......guess I'll be making another donation as a "thank you!" BTW, if the RCIA has helped your biz, you should consider making a donation too!!!!!!

Congrats on landing the job! It's a good thing he didn't get hurt or do any serious damage trying to do it himself..... Just another reason why RCIA is #1!!!!

Ray nice post, I agree with you customers do find us on this board and we should ALL be professional. We have people on here saying customers are not right and COOL DUDE LETS SMOKE A DOOBIE. Sorry I want to bea professional and these people and some of them are suppose to be the leaders in our industry and their saying things like this. I don't know if this is helping us. Everybody needs to remember customers see this board everyday. Look at the stats anytime your on here there is always 5 members or so and 20 guest. Guess what those guest might be tomorrows customers. Lets try to be professionals.
I've noticed numerous homes in our area that are 3-5 yrs old starting to show signs of GM. Usually where I see 1 house, there are many more close by with the same issue.
