Again you should have fliers, business cards, post cards and signs  made professionally, your first impression could be your last  IMHO

You should put some kind of offer to get them to call. HURRY call Before 9/30/10 and receive $25.00 off your Roof Cleaning Servive. You could also say something like "You pay nothing untilll you are 100% Satisfied or just !00% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Ink goes quik when you print your own fliers. I cant believe how much cheaper you can buy ink on Ebay. Like 80% discount compared to retail.

Couple of thoughts...

I like the message, the photos and your logo.  The all over feel is less that professional and "slick", but that may be the look you want. Some customers react better to homegrown ads than others, that'll be a trial and error on your part to see what works best.

I noticed your original file was a .pub. Look through some of the templates in Publisher and get some ideas for 'fancying" up the fonts and overall layout.  You can also go to the Microsoft office help center and download some template ideas.

I think you have too many different fonts being used.

My eye is still drawn to the dirty house, make that picture smaller, and the clean one larger.

Make a"logo block" and save it as a group.  It should have your name, logo, and contact info all in one place, rather than being scattered around.

One idea I used to profess when teaching layout/design was to find an ad that caught your eye and try and copy its style.  You don't need to reinvent the wheel!

Also, look at www.printplace.com for printing. about 1000 fliers professionally printed will run you about $110. You can't buy the ink that cheap!

I think you are heading in the right direction. Hope you don't mind the constructive critique.

I stuck a .pdf of a Realtor Flier from earlier this year that had good results.

Didn't mean to offend at all with my comments, I was just trying to give constructive criticism as requested.

The flier is just fine to use "as-is", it covers all the relevant points, who you are, what you do , and where you do it, and backs it all up with graphic reinforcement.  My thoughts are simply ideas I had to "kick it up a notch", to borrow a line from Emerill.

I tend to go overboard with my print stuff that I do; in some of my past professional lives good print publishing has helped to make me a lot of $$$$$$$ ( just wish I had kept some of it, lol)

The "contact block" is really helpful idea. when you make multiple fliers, as you can just copy & past that block of info from document to document, and it creates consistency in the customers mind.  A customer needs to have 3 exposures to you within a 30 day period to capture top of mind awareness.

BTW...I really do love that logo!

Why are you yelling?? Good idea on the senior discount but that really slims down your demographics. I would do somethink like what you said but to everyone.

when it comes to flyers some times I wonder if real professional looking flyers is better than some flyer just thrown together.

I got some of my best rusults from the worst looking flyers.

i thinks because they assume that with a flyer that looks cheap that they will get cheap prices?

I would sayhe is new to the net thing,  IF YOU USE caps all the time it is considered yelling, and is also hard to read, so please turn of your caps

1. You are calling it a "check it out flyer" it looks more like an initial contact flyer to me. Is this something you learned at my popcorn marketing class?

2. It apears to be a full sheet of papper. Thats alot of ink and alot of wasted space. Try designing the flyer 3 up on a 8.5 x 11 sheet. (one third page flyers)

3. Check it out flyers should be black ink on a colored stock. Initial contact flyers should be like a fishing lure, lots of glitz and flash.

If you want to chat about this more come on over to my sub-forum in the roof cleaning marketing section of the RCIA.

Hope this helps,

AC
