Did you rinse everything down before you started? This will help if a bag comes off. Did you have a helper? That would have helped also. If your like me and working by your self remember to wet everything really well before you start then wet it some more. I wet things then do a section, re-wet then go to another section and so on. As you are doing your own house, practice with water now that it is clean and work on controlling your run off. There are really good threads about that.

Running sprinklers around the house is helpful. Not only for landscape but to protect decks ad blacktop from staining. If the gutter leaders run into underground drains, dont just assume they take your mix away safely. Check the property where the lines my lead to. Ive learned this the hard way a few times.

I use ammonyx m which is alot thicker. You dont need much.

Get you some 3mil bags min, never heard of 40 mil bags, not saying they are out there but they would cost a fortune,
I get my through a janitoral supply company by the case

I did see glad force flex so I will try that. It was either the ones I got or the glad force flex, guessed wrong.

I did use amonyx lo which did help with runoff once I got the hang of my pump/gun.

My wife was my groundman...let's just say we don't work so well together. I will try very hard to never take her on a job. Unprofessional looking would be an understatement.

I will concentrate on the pre wet down.

I finally broke down and paid 39.99 for an Arcsoft template. It is "ok" certainly could be better but it was the best I've come up with by far.

For fliers, I like MS Publisher on a PC, and Pages on the Mac.

lOl I took a Lady to work with me one day I told her it was going to be a nice sun tanning day so take advantage of the day wear something revealing, and it was a nice view from high above on the roof top, but other than the birds eye view she wasn't much help lol.

On my last house I had my helper double-bag the gutter drains. When we were finished, one of the drains had collected quite a bit of run off. We were able to work together to hold the outer bag in place around the gutter drain while removing the inner bag.... the liquid that spilled out while removing the inner bag was captured in the outer bag... so, no spill onto the grass.

For your templates for brochure or anything else try Open Office. Its a big program like MS Office but free.

Open office- good tip. I will try that.

Another issue I had with the gutters- the downspouts were so close to the ground, basically touching the ground, that when I went to remove the bags I spilled some of the love...

I like the idea mentioned above about double bagging, I will try that next time I have such low downspouts.

Any other ideas for very low downspouts? Is it normal to have such low down spouts?

LOL, "good bird's eye view", Probably wouldn't hurt business either, if you can keep the plants alive...

You can remove the bottom el on the leader if it's not rivoted. I sometimes use those 4' ribbed flexible gutter redirectionals and sleeve it up the el. It comes ribbed. I don't request that.

Thats exactly what we do. That way you can minimize spills when removing the bag. We just spray some water where you disconnect the downspout to minimize any burns to the lawn/landscaping while you are tying up the garbage bags.
