Just had my first potential client contact me based on a web search, and guess where he found me? Right here on the RCIA. Those before and after pictures posts really caught his eye Once again, thank you RCIA and Mr.Tucker!
Then he offered me a tip or two to get my own web site to rank a little better. LOL I still have a lot of work to do on that front.
He's a bit of a drive away (45 minutes one way) but is emailing me pics of his home/roof. I'll then Google Earth or Bing Map it for another look see and get a quote with a +/-10% variable to him. He quickly agreed as it was a reasonable way for ME to keep HIS costs down.
Since this is 'in the shade', password protected and not visible to the public, I want to add this for any other new or fairly new company out there:
He asked me how long I'd been in business, and of course I told him, straight up. Ugh. Then I politely explained that if that were of concern to him, that he'd likely be interested to know that I can and will have my insurance company issue him a certificate of liability in his name, with his specific property referenced. He said that was very impressive and then asked if that was part of the RCIA mandate. Of course I also told him that everyone of my clients had been very pleased, and that I'd just received a follow up call from a recent client this morning, thanking me once again for restoring her roof to like new. (Very true!)
I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here - the RCIA rocks!!
I guess this internet thing really works, eh? Hee hee!!

As you are finding out, the RCIA Forum rocks! Imagine you are a customer looking for roof cleaning, and you find a place with 500 guys talking about nothing about roof cleaning ? If you are a roof cleaning customer, it don't get no better!
The client just called me - I won the bid, all via email which included some very good pictures that eliminated any surprises or guess work. Didn't even have to get off my a$$ to close this one LOL.
Best of all, I beat out a company that uses surface cleaners per the client. You know, the Scam-poo folks. They told him that his roof was too steep for them.
I'll spend some time behind the wheel, but it could very well get some additional traction for us out that way, all good. Nothing wrong with a Sunday drive, 'specially when it's profitable.
The RCIA Rocks!
