I am talking about sending out emails pertaining to what you do to local apt complexes, buisnesses and such with pictures as well

I send out emails to Realtors about once a month and the results are so so. I track opens etc through constant contact. Get more PW business than anything else.

I've tried it a few different ways. Buying the email addresses definitely doesn't work.

The best results I have are from re contacting my regular customers to get referrals by email. (I offer them a bird dog fee if I get the job)

I make sure I get the email address of all of my customers. I have never had a complaint from any of them or their referrals.

My best results are from Direct Mail and knocking on doors.

WOW, 66% not good. I know this has nothing to do with roof cleaning but it goes to the question. I sent out faxes and emails to the same Apt. and Realtors, about something I wont say what. It was for a business. I received more call back from the faxes then the emails. So I will be doing that again when I get all set up for roof cleaning. May be you can try that. It will not be in color but it wont go in the spam file.

Years ago I started getting faxes from businesses. Talk about pissing me off! I called and told them they better take my mother F$^$%^#$ number off their list.

This is something I plan on doing in the near future. I will be using Constant Contact. Tested out Go Daddy's email marketing system, but found it to be less user friendly than Constant Contact. Both services are failry inexpensive.

Interesting thread. I have always thought about it but never had the time to implement it. Thank god business has not slowed down yet. And I am leaving in 10 hours for Tampa??? confuse

As I said before, there are some things that business just has to wait for and the Tampa event is one of them. evileye

i haven't done much marketing at all yet. i'm just starting out, first post actually, but been reading for a couple months. i have mostly knocked on doors and upselled the roof cleaning to some of my existing detail and powerwash customers. once i start getting busier and fine tuning everything to my satisfaction i plan on emailing property owner associations and realtors, etc. i def think faxing is a bad idea just for the simple fact of using someone elses sheet of paper, lol. just my opinion. i'm also really interested in what kind of finder fees/discounts everyone is offering for referalls??

MY email marketing involves a two pronged approach. I send monthly email to my bird-dogs, Realtors, and apt. managers ( people I market).

I send another monthly email to past customers asking for referrals.

I have not gone the "spamming" route yet. Pretty small so far ( 200 per month) but ahppy w/ results.

If i dont ask for the info I dont want it in my inbox, to many people use email catchers out there then sell your email addy. they are all bogus and bottom line it is spamming....

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it. Seems like that would be a decent, friendly incentive for the average realtor/rental property manager/handy man to keep you in mind.

I have found that email blasts and email specific neither work. I did 50k homes and got 0 calls. I figured I would try and expected that it would be bad but not that bad. I only email my exsiting clients when reminding them if they opted to have a maintenance program.
