Flow feed to the pump

I  have taken my 200' hose 5/8" and down sized to (2)100' sections with quick disconnects from the output side of my 5850.

Should I just connect direct with my inflow hose to the pump and not use quick connects to remove?

What I have read is to add connects will just restrict flow to the pump.

Any thought or feedback.

Do you mean quick connects on the pump itself? That's what I had, one on the in and one on the out, this way you could unhook the chemical and flush the pump, then undo the discharge and put a small hose to rinse into the tank.

Not sure if this is what you are doing...confuse

That was my plan. To have disconnects going and coming out from the pump.
To me this would allow for better cleaning of te pump and for securing the hoses?

Thanks.

You want to make sure you prevent any disasters from happening like your feed hose quick connects going. Non metal is the best way to make sure that happens. I guess its up to you but you want that thing locked in there and no chance of it coming out.

Whats cleaning the pump mean?Lol.

And if you are using quick connects on your feed side that probably means you are too small with the hose. You want to flood the pump always. So switch to a 1" from the tank to the pump and reduce it down at the pump with the tightest possible way you can thing of. Probably not a QC, but thats just my opinion. If you follow this you will get much more pressure and flow.

I mean to flush the pump. I have 1" feed hose and have reduced with a quick connect connection. Though the best way to flush is just run clean water through after appling the love. I have used brass with garden threads and brass cam locks.

I use Hansen SS 1/2" quick disconnects form PWP with 5/8" hose.  No problems.  I keep my lubed with waterproof grease.  I use a male blug on the intake side & a female socket on the output side.  It makes it easy to switch between your roof cleaning hose & a shorter transfer hose so that you can transfer SH from drums to your trailer tank.

I have found that the SS ball bearings in the qconnects eventually go, but I think that is because I didn't get them from PWP.

I use the banjo clamps and QC's now. I love them.
I've had them for about 2 months I guess and they have held up without a scratch.

Looks nice but how do you hook them up[ to an All-Flo or Fatboy pump?  I did not see any NPT threads.

Do you have any pics of it installed?  Those banjo clamps  looks to have a larger ID diameter than an All-Flo or Fatboy pump?

sure. I'll take some for ya. I bought a bunch of them because they were cool. I have white ones and grey ones. They don't just come in the banjo brand, there are other makers too.

They go all the way down to 1/4". They seem a bit bulky but they are worth it.
