We have a new logo everyone, check it out. We've re-organized the company from Accurate Pressure Wash to AccuWash as we do not use pressure to clean roofs.
Bill mentioned somethin bout gettin a sex change..... SIKE! Nah Morgan his wife! What I gather, from me and Bill meeting. She's gone to work with him! As I told Bill I like "accuwash". I think the name rocks!!!! Was bored not too long ago. I googled accuwash. Well he got it in MD. Kinda like I got gutterdogs in md. And there is a Gutter dawg in NC. We talked! next time im in Raleigh or I foret where in NC he is. Drinks are on him!!! If I can make it to the Charleston event. ( I lived there 6 years and owned a brand new home and I had my own rig! (tractor trailer))
... Scratch that. Like Henry said. " think about the winter." SAVE SAVE SAVE. Tampa all I'm gonna do this year.
Charleston would be better for ME. I used to live there. Tampa is where RCIA being noticed. First with the washing community.
If youve made money from what youve learned at RCIA. Be at Tampa. Just my 2 cents.
Google Gutterdogs! That funny! There is me. And a band, and a very unusual person. Plus people calling other people Gutter dogs!!! Like thats a bad thing??? lol!!!!!
I have been thinking really long and hard about changing my business name. We started out just window cleaning but then we added Power washing/softwashing. Now Im adding roof cleaning. The though of changing my business name just scares the hell out of me for some reason. How would my customes act? Would it effect my google ranking? The cost of changing EVERYTHING. Shirts, logo, website, trailer, etc.
It was a process to change everything over, but was necessary since our primary focus is roof cleaning and not pressure washing. Our name change was not too different from our previous one, so most clients did not react in any way. Those that did reacted favorably. We had to explain that the "pressure" in our business name did not mean we used pressure on a roof. (Accurate Pressure Wash to AccuWash).
A business name that clearly describes the work performed is good because there is not any question as to what that company does. However, a more general name allows leeway for adding additional services. We wash things, mainly roofs.
There is a larger cost to changing all those marketing materials. We did this change gradually. First, legally and then basic printed materials, like checks. In the end, I'd do a cost/benefit analysis to see how much more cash your new business name will bring you. It may not be worth it, especially if you've branded yourself so well as Simply Glass Window Cleaning. You could add a DBA listing instead of changing your name - especially if you have contract/repeat business. That may be more long term work instead though.
I look at this like installing the newer version of an operating system on a computer - make a list of everything to decide whether or not the time it take to do this is worth the extra features!
Oh, and I am Bill's wife and business partner - though I'm sure he'd look okay in a wig and a dress, I pull it off better!
