Okay I fired this rig up and so far this is what I learned:
The hose reel will just work for awhile, but a real "reel" is needed.
When draining the hose, drain it back into the tank or bucket, otherwise your looking at some major "love'' in places you don't want.
My 4-banger is rusting, I thought these were stainless???? It's been rained on for two days and started to rust??
It's a learning process.........here's some pictures, please tell me the good, bad, and ugly you see.....it might save someone else problems with their set-ups.....
well its just a fact that the nozzle and nozzle holders are going to rust i dont know why either. You could put a bulk head on top and plumb it from there i think it would be easier for you as that is what i do. Lastly just keep an eye out on the reel that your using becuase the seals could go at any time and spring a leak all over your rig.

To late, I plumbed the hose to the reel, reel to the pump and something happened because the pump started to surge, and pretty soon it started leaking like crazy, so I scrapped that idea, the hose has a quick connect, problem is I have to unreel all the hose....
Yeah.... I was going to say the reel won't last long at all and that you would probably just need to use it to "store" your hose -- meaning, you would reel it off then connect it to the pump. Disconnect after use, and then reel it back on. Hey, if that's what you gotta do, that's what you gotta do. You'll only lose a little bit of time per job. The most frustrating thing for me would be the shakiness of the reel. Is it nice and sturdy, or does it shift when you roll up the hose?
Good luck.

It had alot of wobble to it, and I paid $39.00 for it, I drove some screws into all the supports and if you notice some of the pictures I drilled deck screws into the wheels to secure it, I can pull on it and it stays in place, kinda doing dry runs at home before facing the real world and having everything go to heck!!!!
Your right about it being a hose "store".........I am looking at a bigger battery box as the one from PT was to small, and intend on plumbing the intake to the tank, I don't like leaving the top off, or draining the line......
Thanks for the tips, they are truly welcomed....
Don't let Lori see this, I know what she is gonna say........"take that pump out of that box"......
I started out with a reel like that but here`s the problem. When that 200 ft hose is full of LOVE it`s heavy. It bounces when you go down the road. It will fall apart in no time. Next best thing is to go to Home Depot & buy a reel with wheels for $ 90.00 but don`t put the wheels on it. Works great. You can keep your pump in the box, just take off the lid when your running it to get air.

Cool, thanks for the tip, that's what awesome about this site.........I'm headed to HD tomorrow and see what they have.
I'd plumb the pick up tube into the tank using a bulkhead fitting and change out the stainless quick coupler on the end of your ball valve with a brass one. The stainless one will rust relatively quickly and make it almost impossible to switch between nozzles on your 4 way. Looks good man. Nice, clean rig.
Tony, my rig looks similar to yours. I mounted my tank over the axle and turned it When you fill the tank with your mix, your tongue weight will be extremely heavy and may pull the rear of your vehicle down. You may also have trouble unhitching your trailer with a partial or full tank if you need to disconnect. I would recommend to have a spare tire and a jack for your trailer

Do you have any pictures of your set-up?
I think I will follow your advise and move the tank, I was trying to figure out how to place the pump. battery, hose, tank, etc...to avoid to much weigh on one side or the other.....
Steve is your company name Roof Cleaners or are you just using that as a keywords?? I am only asking as there is Brian's company The Roof Cleaners in South east PA, and I was curious if you knew that or used that idea to your advantage.
