I was told by an old successful business owner once that if "you sweat the small stuff, the rest takes care of itself" As opposed to "don't sweat the small stuff" which most people mean to overlook the little things.
Something I've done that has added quite a bit of insurance for me is I carry around a couple of cans or spray paint
We have all seen it; either the solution was a bit too strong, or the paint well oxidized, or 100 other reasons and there is a bit of paint missing from a downspout, gutter, ridgecap, etc. I simply touch it up with a few quick sprays and it all looks new again.
Just something extra to add that makes the job look great and shows the customers we care.
What little things do you do?

When I mowed yards I would carry some colored zip ties, when I was done in the backyard I would zip tie the gate where the lock went...............
It showed I cared about the backyard being secure......
Around here someone left a gate unsecured and the homeowners dogs got out and one was killed, the homeowner blamed the lawn guy, but in the end the meter reader was the guy that left it unlocked......they tried to sue the city, but settled before that......
By the way, "I sweat all the stuff".........and it gets tiring sometimes...
wow thats cool about the colored zip tie showing you care! I wonder what the H/O thought, like what is this here for?
I talked with the H/O and the ones that had pets knew what we did, I explained it as a safety issue.......
H/O puts dogs in the day we are coming, latch key kids walk in the front door, kick the dogs out the backdoor never checking the gate, parents get home, gate open, dogs gone......I never wanted that type of call..
I figured someone would complain about having to cut it off, but they never did...

That is a good idea and shows that you care. I am sure that anyone with common sense will see that you are securing their property and I am sure that maybe only a few people out of a whole bunch will complain but that is ok.
